Today was my birthday. And we had just recently found this place by accident.. We walked in and bought drink tickets inside. We probably sat for about 45 min before a woman came and told us if we were to sit by the stage we needed to pay a $25/per person cover charge for the band, which was fine. We had only planned to just stop and enjoy a cider or 2. So we went inside to order our cider. It was a bit cold today, so we walked outside to enjoy the sunshine. The woman came again to tell us to walk to another place to drink our cider... So we did. The band apparantly had started playing. I could tell this woman and her 'bouncer' were looking for people without the wrist bands. It wasn't too busy, so I was surprised they'd be looking for people to kick out. As we were finishing our cider by the exit, this employee not only told me to leave, but she yelled it at me and my children. We were never asked to pay a fee when we walked in..and we complied with every move she had asked of us the entire time. I am NEVER returning, and it's sad. We were excited to have a place like this so close to our house. I am beyond disappointed. Had there been a sign or better communication this could have been avoided. It's such a great spot with great cider options, but due to this woman we will ever be returning or recommending...

Bought some drink tickets at palisade bluegrass bash towards the end of April. Charles Tallbot was there helping with the transactions for purchasing drink tickets. He kept telling the people in line that if they had leftover drink tickets after the bluegrass bash, that Talbots Cidery would honor those tickets after the event. So I bought 2 extra tickets than I knew I was going to use that day.
Fast forward 6 weeks- there was a band playing at the cidery that I went to go see and I brought the tickets I bought during the bluegrass bash with me. Went into the bar and tried to redeem said tickets for a glass of cider. The bartender was very nice but said she had to ask Charles Tallbot who was sitting at the bar chatting with a friend. Charles, the self proclaimed āPrince of Palisadeā said probably not but let me ask my mommy. Mrs. Tallbot walked by right when this happened and said āno, that was over 2 months agoā in snappy rude tone. Again, there was only a 6 week difference.
Iām bummed about losing the $15 worth of tickets I had purchased. But Iām very disappointed in the ethics of the family for not honoring what they had promised to customers. Snakes in the grass these Talbots. They are set for life with their company, whatās $15/a couple glasses of cider to them- which I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTalbott's was the reason we took the trip out to Palisade (that and I love Palisade)! They were always my favorite apple juice brand as a kid, so as soon as I found out they also had a cidery, I was begging to go. They did not disappoint! The location and shop are gorgeous, first of all. Second, the staff was setting up for a wedding the next day, but they were still super friendly and accomodating. We ended up getting flights so we could try a whole bunch of their ciders, and I loved every single one of them. Stem is good, but Talbott's completely blows them out of the water. We ended up taking home a mini growler of the tequila aged cider and a six...
