There was no snow on the road, but the snow that had been piled up on the side of the road hadn't melted yet. It was about 42ā° up there around 3pm.
We didn't stay long. There wasn't much to do up there with so much snow, but it was fun to take a photo of the sign. At 10,856, this is probably the highest elevation I've ever been at and still had my feet on the earth.
The scenery through the pass was very beautiful, very Colorado. I was driving, so I couldn't look as much as I wanted to. What I did see was absolutely lovely....
