Very well kept walking trails. In total, around 5 miles. There are three major lakes with plenty of smaller ones scattered throughout the area. You can see an abundance of birds, turtles and ducks. April through June is the best time to catch bird sightings because of mating season. There is also a trail across the street. This 0.6 mile circle trail surrounds a fishing lake. This lake for fishing is catch and release only. There is an ice cream store that is open, and a putt putt course that is closed. Bring a lunch, picnic tables available....
Read moreLove this hike. It's not too crowded and we always see cool animals - beavers, frogs, toads, bunnies, and all sorts of birds, including great blue herons. The sounds are wonderful - birds, bullfrogs, and occasional unidentifiable noises on the water. Our only complaint is that there are no trail markers, so it's very easy to get lost (which we did at one point). Sometimes we couldn't tell whether something was even a trail. Read moreThe trails are good but the putt putt golf area could really use some cleaning up! The water traps are brown with dead bugs and leaves. I wouldn’t touch the water when my ball went in so I used my club to get it out of the mucky water. If the LCMetro parks run this course I would think they would take some more pride in it and clean it up! A good power wash is all it would take a couple times month! It could be a gold mine if better...
