Best lake in Irish Hills - a nice, big (840 acres) all-sports lake: lots of room for boating, personal watercraft, kayaking, etc. Fishing includes mostly walleye & bluegill which are periodically stocked; occasional bass and others. A nice mix of full time, seasonal and weekend residents around the lake. Private for the Lake Columbia community (i.e. all 7 access points gated and locked) so rarely crowded. Fairly shallow so warms up quickly at the start of the season. Many sandy areas, but mucky as it gets deeper. Mostly surrounded by seawall, so a bit choppy with more traffic (but rarely crowded). A fair amount of seaweed recently (i.e. watch your PWC). Very nice people (in general) in the community. Community association with dues...
