Super awesome scenic Park to ride dirt bikes at. I would not recommend riding four wheelers there unless you only go on the one or two main trails that are very wide. Otherwise you will just not have a good time I've never seen someone try it twice. But it's great for dirt bikes or even mountain biking if you're really extreme and hiking as long as you watch out for dirt bikes and some dust clouds. There's an awesome motocross track with stands where they have races sometimes. There is a pretty nice campground I haven't camped there in about 25 years but I know it's pretty nice now. They even have a couple of children's Motocross tracks where you could take your little boy to ride his electric dirt bike. Or maybe a real dirt bike hopefully there's also a swimming area and really good places for kayaking or canoeing and it's just a pretty awesome place to visit all around because it's also right next to Rocky fork which is another cool place to camp and a big lake and there is also a shooting range that you can go shoot shotguns rifles handguns but you should probably leave the RPG at home! Don't show up to my favorite park lookin like some 9/11 wackjob cause there is a bunch of Patriots with guns loaded and ready and I'm willing to bet if you're going to disturb the Peace and freedom they will gladly make you a Target 🎯🤯.....!! GOD BLESS MERICA!!.... AND FINGER LAKES STATE...

I would have given 5 stars as this campground is beautiful, plenty of activities, clean, well kept. We paid for a week of camping. 3 days left and the bathrooms and shower houses were closed down. Completely understandable. The “camp hosts” never came and talked to us about it, or came around at all, when we called the front they said the bathrooms were down, they didn’t know why and said they didn’t know what to tell us. We said we have 11 people camping for 3 more days, what are we supposed to do? They said we could drive into Columbia and use the gas station. The poor choice of words and complete lack of professionalism has us not wanting to come back despite the beautiful landscape and family friendly environment. Although 10pm is quiet time we were awakened at all hours until 3-4 am with cussing, screaming and loud music. With nothing being done despite us complaining many times. That lack of caring about all who pay to camp and all the money paid for a full week of camping, ie, food, drinks, ice, fire wood ect, will go to other campsites. Very disappointed in the children that we were forced to deal with and who also refused to give us a number to the owners, or supervisor whom we...

We want here in summer 2021 it was at the time not a bad place to go canoeing in the little men made lake they have at finger lakes state park you can go camping ride a a t v or Dirtbike on some of the trails or hiking on different trails go fishing and they have a place where you can rent a kayak or canoe with the life vest and paddles got to have those just in case. And they have a little sand beach that you can swim at. The lake has different sections so it’s kind of as a like a big river to paddle through good for a work out and get some sun and outside air and water on you when you get to hot.

When we was there it was busy but the like was just big enough to stay in your own paddling area over all I would give it four stars the cost at the time I believe was $22.00-28.00 to rent the canoe life Jackets all day not to bad to pay all day for two, to have a little active fun at Finger...

It’s almost spring and now is the perfect time to plan spring break or a weekend getaway! Here are some of our favorites @adventuresinmomlife_ and @everydayoutdoorfamily that are an easy drive from Kansas City: Omaha, NE: At only 2 hours and 45 minutes from KC, Omaha has the world-class Henry Doorly Zoo, beautiful Lauritzen Gardens and fun for the whole family at the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge. Springfield, MO: Nestled in the Ozarks just 2.5 hours from Kansas City, Springfield showcases Wonders of Wildlife that will exceed every expectation! Visit Fantastic Caverns drive-through cave, Dickerson Park Zoo and don’t miss the Wild Animal Safari Park outside of Springfield where the animals come right up to your car. Columbia, MO: This 2 hour drive has beautiful state parks in Rock Bridge Memorial and Finger Lakes, fantastic playgrounds Cosmopolitan Park Steinberg (Dino Park) and Woodridge Park, and lots of family fun at Bonker’s or Caddie’s Indoor Golf. Topeka, KS: Just one hour from Kansas City, our kids love Topeka’s Gage Park. Ride the mini-train and carousel and climb on the concrete animals at Animaland playground before visiting the zoo. Don’t miss the beautiful Reinisch Rose Garden and the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with rotating exhibits, hands-on learning fun and an outdoor play area. Branson, MO: A little more than 3 hours from KC, Branson boasts the bustling Silver Dollar City with exciting rides and attractions. Don’t miss the Marvel Cave tour. We love Pirate’s Cove mini-golf, snow tubing at Wolf Mountain Branson and Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery. Pella, IA: This small town is 3.5 hours from Kansas City and feels like you’re stepping into the Netherlands. There is Dutch food, a canal, windmills, an animated clock and beautiful gardens.
