Pinewood Lake Park — Attraction in Columbia

So I've visited this park a handful of times to fish. I heard there are good size fish here. Problem is half the lake is not accessible due to posted signs (no trespassing) and a flimsy fence. As i walked around the public access area, I realized the only real access to the water was on the other side of the no trespassing signs. The areas u CAN go don't have any clear trail to the water to fish. There is an old dock that looks very unsafe, no railing and is useless because the water is like 30 feet away from this dock anyway. Lst week I saw many fisherman's fishing passed this no trespassing sign and the fence had an opening so I did the same, And fished a few hours ( didn't catch anything). Yesterday I went and it looks like the "no tresspassing" had been reinforced because I did not see any fisherman, and the fence had been reinforced. Long story short I just left and probably won't be back because it's not conducive to fishing. But if you're a walker or a runner, this is a nice...

Park gates are open but phone number no longer works. On three visits I didn't see any staff present and there were cars there whose occupants never left the car. It felt risky to be there to us and we turned around and left within 15 minutes. We did not use any facilities. The park appeared abandoned - other than the opening of the gate for access and possibly some limbs picked up to clear the parking lot for cars. This could be a beautiful little park with a nice walking path BUT nobody is taking care of it. The path is dangerous and the only section of any distance is closed due to the horrible condition of the path. There was trash everywhere. It looked like the trashcans haven't been emptied in months so trash was all over the place. It is sad bc it could have been a pleasant place to a nice stroll around the water.
