It's a park where the river appears to have carved itself into a valley, with a flat ledge running parallel to the river that dips 40 feet to the rivers edge and banks along a glacial moraine, with pines towering +100 feet, and nice lookout points along the ledge. A nice set of walking trails to choose. Horseback riding trails and nice meadows. Excellent public restrooms and snack machine. Decent signage. Awesome log-cabin style pavilion with wooden picnic tables. Romantic scenery....
Read moreIt's meh. Not fond of the horse trails, frisbee golf and walking trails all basically mixed together. Like other reviews have stated there's no clear signs of where the trails start. Just go down a path that's mowed down or walk down the sledding hill and enjoy to the best of your ability while avoiding the horse poop. If you want to get over the river and don't want to get wet you'll have to walk over on the train tracks near the southeast end...
