I went with family/ friends and got the V.I.P. treatment from Mountain Brook Vineyards. The vineyard is full of new varietal plantings as far as I could see. The rolling hills and flowering lavender, rosemary & butterfly bushes make a setting perfect for a wedding, party or a date. The wines are old world varieties tending toward dry which I like. I enjoyed the Summer flight of white wines that included Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, & Rosé of Cab Sauvignon & Merlot. My favorite is the Sauvignon Blanc. We split a charcuterie tray; I loved the chutney, mustard & bread & butter pickles. My d.i.l. enjoyed the variety of cheeses: Gouda, Brie, cheddar & a mild white, while her mom liked liked the sangria, the sweetest drink available. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable & attentive. Service wasn't perfect, but our server made it right with no fuss. We asked about a tour, and Lindsay, their marketer, event coordinator & more, gave the three of us a tour even though it had started to rain. We drove around in a golf cart and stopped to see the wine barrel storage which doubles as a wedding venue. On our return, Lindsay treated us to samples of a few wines she'd mentioned, but we hadn't tried. Finally, she gave us a taste of the Rosé slushie that was really delicious! We ate, got to try varieties of dry wines, and had tons of fun. The only true negative was the yellow jackets that persistently invaded our food & drink freaking us out to the point we fled indoors. But no one was stung! So our party continued pest free. I'll go back when it's cooler and no chance of rain & the yellow jackets are gone..

My sister and I had the most extraordinary experience at Mountain Brook Vineyard in Tryon, NC! From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and genuine hospitality that it turned a simple vineyard visit into an unforgettable memory. A huge shoutout to Morgan, who was absolutely phenomenal! Her knowledge, charm, and attentiveness made the entire experience so special. She went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect and that we truly enjoyed ourselves. We also had the amazing opportunity to meet David, the incredibly talented winemaker, and gain a little insight into his passion and craftsmanship. Meeting Jonathan, the owner’s husband, was another treat—so welcoming and personable. And of course, the fabulous owner herself, Mrs. Vickie, whose vision and presence truly shine through in every corner of the vineyard, made us feel like we were part of something truly special. And none of this would have been possible without Rebecca, who so thoughtfully organized this extraordinary day for us. Thank you, Rebecca, for making it all come together so seamlessly! Mountain Brook Vineyard is not only stunning in setting but also filled with people who genuinely care about creating experiences, not just tastings. I cannot recommend it highly enough—we left with full hearts, cherished memories, and of course, some outstanding wine. 🍷✨

2021-10-03: We had to come back out now that the weather is getting cooler, and we were not let down. This has become our single favorite vineyard around and always is a better experience than the next. I also have to give kudos to Andrew, who was our waiter and was so friendly and knowledgeable that we felt like royalty. Thank you Andrew. The atmosphere is simply awesome here and the wines are great. I honestly can't say enough great things about Mountain Brook Vineyard, and am already looking forward to when I can come again. :) 2021-05-16: What a fantastic destination! This would be one of the first vineyards I would recommend to someone. It is in a beautiful setting on top of a hill with trees surrounding you and lovely views of the mountains in the distance. It's the perfect spot for a little serenity on the weekend. The food truck provides quick service with tasty bites, the servers were courteous and accommodating, and many of the wines were excellent. I'm already looking forward to the next time I can visit.

I feel like the odd man out giving MBV less that five stars based on their overall reviews however, I feel like my experience was closer to a three star review because my experience was decent, at best.

The staff member that served me and my wife was great. He seemed a little stretched thin and was running around crazily but was awesome, nice and very conversational. We ordered a red flight with the pairings. My kids were able to play corn hole and throw a football in the grassy area near our table. Outside seating was plentiful and there was even umbrellas at each table for the sun. There was a live band that played a wide variety of songs.

The wines were great. We were fans of the Cab, BDX and Allin. The BDX and Allin are more unique so these two peaked out interest the most and both made their way home with us. The pairing we ordered with the wine were locally made (Hendersonville) chocolates and were well paired. Watching what others were ordering it looked like most of the foods were prepackaged and made to quickly go out to tables. Our chocolates were in a plastic sleeve so it was kind of grab and go.

The rub came when we were trying to leave and wanted to grab a couple of bottles to take home. We already paid out tab at the table and were looking for a retail area to grab the bottles, pay and go. There really wasn't a retail space. There was an serving window where the staff would submit their orders for tables then there was an upstairs spot that had a decorative shelfing unit with the wines stacked. Finding the wine we wanted and paying took a little too long and there really wasn't an area to "shop" for things to take home.

Again, based on the reviews maybe it just wasn't a good time to visit so I would definitely go back and try again. Service and wines were worth it enough to at...

Best East Coast Vineyard! The views are phenomenal, the wine is fantastic, and the staff is great.I highly recommend doing an Elevated Tasting or the Vintner's Room tasting in the Experience Center.

The first time I went to Mountain Brook it was part of a wine tour and happened to be our last stop. I wish we skipped the other vineyards and spent the entire day at MBV. We did a Barrel Room tasting with the Winemaker Dave and it was one of the most enlightening wine experiences I have ever had. Dave is doing big things and putting NC on the map. You won’t believe the wines were created in NC. Try his reserve Chardonnay, it’s my absolute favorite! You can’t go wrong with any of his wines.

On our second visit we did an Elevated Wine tasting with Eric! Eric is amazing! He took his time with us and answered all our questions! He is so knowledgeable and passionate about wine. His service is outstanding – he truly goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. He is very professional but makes you feel right at home! It is truly refreshing to come across people that care not only about making great wine, but making sure your experience is special.

We just went back again yesterday for our anniversary, and we are already planning our next visit. I tell anyone I come across that loves wine about MBV! You will walk away with a new appreciation for wine.

Join the Cooper Club! You get great discounts and access to limited events and great wines! It is totally worth it. Once you visit you will be leaving with a couple of bottles. I...
