Growing up around wine your whole life is not the same as being where it's made. A place where you can find more than just wine is here. At Overmountain It's more than just tasting something, it's about being here. It's an experience. I have been to industrial wineries and this one is not like it at all. This particular day I was blessed to see the process in motion. From picking to sorting and the whole of it. I was amazed to see out here families, friends and fantastic moments. One particular group got my attention a group of Siblings spending the afternoon here catching up. This place is where one can go and relax and read for the weekend. People can find themselves with their picnic blankets and kids and dogs. It's more than welcoming. For me what is unique to this specific vineyard is that it that it's welcoming. Randomly I found myself here and I found myself loving being here. I recommend anyone to come here and visit. Take part in the process one day and bring your family. It's worth it because it's more than a great taste. It's a great exciting experience.

If a beautiful, pristine setting and great wine is not your thing, avoid Overmountain Vineyards and Winery at all cost. This is a Carolina gem located 20 minutes off of I-26 at the Landrum exit.

Having been to Overmountain with my wife several times, I was very interested in conducting a team building session with my employees. The working farm and winery offered the perfect setting and opportunities for such an event. Winemaker Sofia Lilly was so accommodating to my request and created the perfect afternoon, allowing us to participate in the winemaking process. We did a multitude of tasks, including grape testing, packaging and the “punch down” process. Importantly, Sofia taught us a lot. Most important, we sampled the excellent product!

This family run business is an excellent place to conduct a team event. It’s also a great place to enjoy the beauty of the Carolina Foothills while drinking some terrific wine made from local grapes. You’ll be glad you found...
