May 12 2022: I was riding my bike close to 3 creek metro park, I stopped, at a little rest area, Sat on a bench, and what do i see 3 feet AWAY from the public, garbage can? See picture, HOW STINKEN LAZY? CAN SOMEONE BE? The rangers and all the park Workers, DO A VERY GOOD JOB, WATCHING, AND CLEANING OUR PARKS. Then some LOWLIFE has to spoil it, They bring the trash INTO THE PARK!!! take it home with you!!! OR PLACE IT IN A GARBAGE CAN PROVIDED. No no!! They where brought up, with NO RESPECT FOR NATURE. OR THEM SELF, BLACKLICK city, Reynoldsburg, are really GARBAGE DUMPS, look around. Trash all over parks,roads. People MUST live like pigs. Trashy people MUST have no respect for THEMSELF. RANGERS Should give them $ 500.00 fine!!!! For littering. Plus make them pick up garbage along roads and parks for 1 month. Maybe, just maybe They might learn NOT TO GARBAGE OUR...
Read moreThis park is a birdwatcher's paradise!! We visited on a crisp January Saturday. Walked the trails for about two hours. Saw a bald eagle, half a dozen blue herons, three swans, flights of long necked geese and ducks, and heard wild turkeys. We are definitely coming back in the Spring to see the migratory birds passing through. Bring binoculars to get the best viewing experience! Trails are mostly graveled and well maintained but there are muddy spots and some standing water in low areas, so wear good waterproof footwear. Five or six viewing platforms offer excellent vistas of the various ponds and fields. We encountered perhaps a dozen other visitors who were all friendly and respectful of social distancing rules. Not a park to bring pets because most of the trails prohibit pets. There is a small playground, shelter area, and restrooms at Glacier Knoll in north end...
Read moreTicks, Ticks and more Ticks. I was in the area over a weekend and wanted to walk a nature trail. I found the arrowhead trail it had a sign that stated to stay on the trail due to ticks. So I walked the mowed grass trail which is 1.7 miles. I looked down at one point and had 10 ticks on my legs and freaked out. I've never walked a trail path and got ticks on me anywhere in Ohio. I tried to take my clothes off in the bathroom and check for ticks but they didn't have mirrors. I took my shoes off and check my shoes and socks. When I got I home, I found that I Brought a few with me.... I felt bad as they were setting up a for a Childs birthday party and little did they know they were in a tick infested park. People should stay away from this area until they can work on pest control. My worst metro park...
