What an amazing treasure to find in the rolling hills in the shadows of the Beartooth mountains! Our first visit was as amazing as I had hoped it would be. We attended an 11 am concert under the Domo. While it was hot outside, all the seats were in the shade of the structure and kept us cool. The acoustics and visuals were amazing. Remember: All visits will need to be booked ahead of time from the website. Quick summary in case you want to know how it works: -Signed up for the lottery to buy tickets to a concert in March. You don't need to do the lottery to get hike/bike or van tour tickets. -Showed up around 10:10am for the 11am concert. They said the buses were scheduled to leave around 10:15 and 10:30 to take you out to the sculpture. The buses were a bit late but it was the first morning concert of the season. -Buses picked us up from the parking lot and took us to the Domo. Along the way you see several sculptures. There are toilets at the parking lot and out at the concert site. -Enjoyed the concert. It was all very timely. -Get back on the bus. On the way back you can be dropped off at the Barn which has food and drinks to purchase. This is a great building and there are several sculptures nearby that you can walk to easily. We had also signed up for the hike/bike self tour so we had the option to explore more of the 12,000 acre ranch. Overall I can't rate this experience highly enough. Sadly the popularity makes it harder to score tickets but it makes the entire experience that much sweeter! The negative review about the triangle playing makes me laugh. You know what type of concert you are signing up for initially. If the music doesn't fit your groove then tune it out and soak in the...

WOW! Tippet Rise is a very special place. We had put in for concert tickets and arrived early in the day to some hiking/biking. From the gate check in to the trail rangers, the staff was pleasant and informative. My husband mountain biked the trails and they helped him plan a route through this stunning location. The trails can get technical so getting advice and knowing your fitness and skill level is very important. I took advantage of the "concierge" hiking. Anna shuttled me to the top of the property and set me on a course downhill that was very doable. The sculptures that surprise you around every turn add to the magnificence of the scenery. Ice water and rangers are strategically placed and you can call for a pick up at many points. This is big country and is exposed so taking advantage of the shuttle is important. After adventuring the food in the cafe was fresh and delicious. The musician talk before the concert set the tone and then listening to world famous musicians playing Beethoven in a stunning hall with the Beartooth Mountains as a backdrop can't be...

Please visit the website and try to get a feel of the volume of art, hiking trails and music venues you can enjoy on this working ranch, via ticket lottery. I tried for three years to get tickets for a music venue and it was well worth the wait. Hiking and biking tickets are easier if you are on the website the day ticket distribution opens. Luckily, there is no overcrowding. The volunteers point you in the right direction and it is easy to figure out. Be prepared if you are hiking or biking. We were rained out and didn’t make it to all of the art venues but enjoyed what we saw. I couldn’t believe they had a sculpture by Ai Wei Wei. I’ve followed his life for years. And, an Alexander Calder sculpture you can see when you crest the hill driving toward the venue. Wow. Thank you to the owners. They brought something very special together at Tippet Rise in Fishtail, MT and put it out there for many to enjoy during the summer months. I wonder what...

Such a hidden gem! About an hour from Billings & 2 hrs from Bozeman. You don’t need to bike here, but be prepared if you do!

What an experience! We biked 12 miles through the most technical areas on the property (and I’m sore today!) but we made incredible memories. Visited end of June 2025. The sounds of the birds and insects and the solitude of being the only humans on the trail were so unique. We saw a herd of sheep and some cows with a couple of cowgirls which added some fun to the day! It was nice to know that staff was available for emergencies even in some of the more remote sections. I dropped my phone on the trail and within minutes someone on staff happened to find it! They have water and shelter stations throughout. Lunch was a bit in the higher side (prepackaged wraps for $14, small bag of chips for $2.25) but worth it after the long trek! The views from the lunch barn were astounding. Can’t wait to return!!
