We took our puppy there for the first time, he is a 7 month old puppy who is large enough for the large breed enclosure. We read the rules of the fenced in large dog area, where it DID NOT completely state to absolutely take off your leashed, it was our first dog park we were unsure of the people or other dogs. I kept the leash on my puppy where two dogs proceeded to attack my dog. The first owner was rude and told me because i did not take off his leash it made the other dogs aggressive. The other owner appolgized and said her dog was rilded up due to a fight with a dog before we had come in. I respect that she told us however the rules clearly stated no dogs with aggressive behavior. My dog never bit back he only ran between my legs up until me and my husband left. We were in the fenced park for all but 5 minutes. I left with two nice scratches from the a dog that was not mine on my legs. I will never return to this park and if you decide to take your dog there be prepared for your pet to possibly...
Read moreYesterday afternoon I took my dog to this beautiful park. We’ve had the pleasure of finding this place recently and have been about three or four times. She suddenly passed away last night. May angels rest her beautiful soul. This place is one of the last memories I have with her. Each time has been a pleasurable experience. Filled with joy, many fury friends, beautiful animals, friendly people, and a lovely open view. This place will always have a place in my heart. I’d recommend it for anyone that wants to bring their four legged companion to meet other friendly doggies. The area is nice and although it isn’t the biggest park it certainly isn’t small. There is maybe close to a mile of space following the path all the way around. I’m grateful I’ve gotten the chance to share this place with my loving doggy, Mimi. I hope others get the chance to do so too. Give it a try it’s lovely and also pretty calm on the week...
Read moreMake no mistake about it, its a great place to take the dogs to roam free and play. That is the purpose of a dog park. But apparently that bothered the caretaker, why I have no idea. But I was rudely informed that the police were there writing tickets to people who didnt have leashes on their dogs!! Are you kidding me?! Being able to unleash your dog is the DEFINITION of a DOG PARK!! I could understand if there were bloodbath dog fights, but there isn't. I used to go there alot and never had a problem. It was a wonderful place to go, close to home. And its now ruined for so many, for absolely no reason. A cranky old man & who knows who else has ruined it for everybody. And I wonder if the cops know the CARETAKERS DOGS roam around UNLEASHED barking at visitors?!! So he can do it but nobody else? What a hypocrite! And you'd think the police have better things to do....
