I have over 20 years of experience in the field of education working with children. I can say with the utmost sincerity that the staff employed at this location are condescending, impatient, and unfit to work with children. The site manager, Keith Doms, held 13-15 year old summer campers to unrealistic expectations. He yelled at the kids, threatened them, and physically assaulted a child by pushing him to the ground. He is a liability to the Mill and should not be working with children. Once we made up our mind to leave, he beat us to it and gathered the kids around. Keith’s ineptitude to understand kids and properly delegate and execute his job functions was overtly obvious. His frustration got the better of him when he put his hands on a child. This shameful act is reprehensible and disgusting.
Luckily, the local police are looking into this matter as well as the child’s parents. This man is a danger to children and needs to understand the consequences of his actions. I hope the mill takes this matter seriously and proceeds to take the necessary actions to ensure this kind of experience never happens again.
I think Keith owes an apology to the kids, but I know that would be a tall order for him. I instead made sure to enforce the positive aspects of community service after Keith shattered their experience.
I hope you get the...
