Absolutely AWESOME This orchard, being in Concord, far along the back winding roads, gives the illusion of leaving the city behind. Parking attendants are polite and give a smooth entrance and exit for all vehicles. The farm offers a beautiful general store atmosphere where you go to purchase bags for picking your own apples or purchase the pre-picked bags. The largest bag is just under $25. They offer mouth watering baked goods, cider, and adorable crafts for both autumn and Christmas season. Those working the counters and stock gave my family excellent customer care and service. I've been going to the orchard for years with my family and I am so excited that I was able to replicate a cherished photo of my near 11year old when he was two and our newest addition 2yr old in the apple trees. There are so many stunning features of the orchard and opportunities for photography that I'm positive you won't find anywhere else. The surrounding woodlands are full of the changing autumn leaves with an absolutely awesome view of the distant mountains and hills. A True New Hampshire experience. They have a high platform that lifts you above the rooftops and trees in the farm's front/center for bird watching, more photos, as well as plenty of information boards. My family and I filled our bags going both this past Saturday and again Sunday. Such Serenity between the trees. Never overcrowded. A large play area for the younger children and a gazebo with patio chairs for the older generation. In the past I've seen they lay a picked pumpkin patch in the grass area, however they did not have that this time. There are pumpkins and gourds available within the store area. I'd give this beautiful and special place 20 stars if I could. And I hope to continue to visit year after year. Thank you Carter Hill...
ย ย ย Read moreBeautiful orchard however the staff was snappy and rude. I am 5-months pregnant standing outside in the parking lot with our senior chihuahua, waiting for my fiancรฉ while he shopped. A male employee aggressively approached me and rudely demanded I leave because dogs are not allowed.... They had a clearly readable sign stating โno dogs allowed inside the showroom or orchardโ. We respectfully never brought our dog into the store or orchard. However there were also signs that said dogs are allowed on the trails with a few guidelines: pick up after them, keep them leased, and friendly dogs only. Our senior chihuahua is very well trained, very friendly, and we always clean up after her. We wanted to support small business and family owned farm; we intended to buy some fresh apple cider donuts, maple syrup, apples, and other products. We have a YouTube channel and wanted to include this experience in our reviews. We captured wonderful video and photo content to pair with the review on YouTube but this single interaction left such a sour taste in my mouth we decided to not include it in our journey. Too bad because it would have been some great content and free marketing for them. We do not amplify negativity on our chanel so we simply deleted the footage and will find another orchard who treats us and other customers with respect. The employee could easily have communicated with us in a friendly and professional way but instead was extremely rude and aggressive for no reason resulting in this review and us immediately leaving without a single purchase. I did not argue with him but instead simply said โokโ with a smile on my face. My fiancรฉ was ready to make a substantial purchase but I asked him to hold off and...
ย ย ย Read moreWorkers might want to learn the rules or they need to redo this rule to say on the property.
โPlease know that per state rules, dogs are not allowed in the Orchard until November 22. Dogs are never allowed in the Country Store. These rules do not apply to service animals. We apologize for any inconvenience.โ
I let my wife run to grab some apples in the orchard and I waited in the parking lot by a fence in the shade. I donโt blame the seasonal work but the older man working the buy your own bag stand. The seasonal guy said no dogs and I said I understand that is why Iโm not in the orchard. The older gentleman just starts shouting , โNO DOGS, PERIOD!โ yeah Iโm not dealing with a fragile ego old man so I walked a few feet to my car and let my dog in. A teenage manager (very friendly) came over and told me that they donโt allow dogs on the property due to a deal with stores they made. This is all good, but you guys need to change your signs and online rules because by definition I was not in the orchard or the store as your rules stated.
Only reason this isnโt getting a 1 star is the manager actually trying to explain the rules. Even if the rules didnโt match.
The donuts were...
