The first thing I want to throw out there is that I don’t think this is the best state park if you are looking for short trails with accomplishing views. Personal I don’t mind hiking 10+ miles, and if this is you than I 100% recommended this park for you. Amazing views, plenty of parking (even on weekends in my experience), and lots of trails to explore. I have never tried the rock climbing but I know that is also a popular attraction of the park. Read morePoorly structured for car campers. All camp grounds are better suited backpacking. We have a half mile hike to get to our camp site. The website poorly conveys this. Add to that that water access which was published was not available, and the camp sites are not private, and I definitely do not recommend camping here. Read moreWith this being a state park there is an admission cost however Colorado residents can add State Park access to their yearly vehicle registration. Make sure you save the paper on which the license plate decal was attached. That piece of paper is required for entry.
