Cleghorn Beach — Attraction in Crestline

This area is less crowded than the main swimming beach, but I also find the water it more ‘slimier’, as in more sea weed. There is a lifeguard station here so it is a good choice for swimming. There’s also plenty of shaded picnic areas and grassy areas.

Be careful walking barefoot in the sand. I found a couple large shards of glass from broken beer bottles here.

Had a great Sunday at Silverwood Lake Cleghorn Beach, fishing for trout. Getting a birdseye view of Kayakers launching their kayaks many with electric trolling motors. We spent the whole day breakfast, lunch there. Even got to see the Red Tail Hawk make a go at fishing. Shore dinner was at the Sawpit right of the marina, had a good view as the sunset and the moon rose in the eastern sky, giving Silverwood Lake an awesome dazzling glitter on the water. Whole place is kind of junky. Nothing is maintained or cleaned. Signs covered in bird poop. Graffiti everywhere. Trash everywhere, mostly beer cans and tops. Despite alcohol not being allowed in the park. Obviously they don't have enough park police.
