4 star place to go relax for the day, would be 5 but there are no trash cans easily accessible so people just throw trash around which is sad but having some trash cans around the picnic area would help with that some, one of the BBQ's was stuffed with trash. If you can go when it's quiet it's awesome, we ended up leaving once some people came by that had screeching children with super soakers and another tied their poor dog to a pole and left him alone to howl. The water on the lake is pretty and is very clean. The man at the entrance was very nice and gave us a couple leads on other parks in the area to go visit too. It's only 5 dollars for the day and you can come and go as you please for the whole day. There is a couple boat ramp areas, plenty of camping areas, the picnic area with BBQ's, bathrooms, hiking trails all over, and lots of parking. If you need to get out, get some walking in and get some fresh air this is an...
Read moreOne of my favourite places to hike, run, and do photoshoots for families, friends, and even strangers who become new acquaintances courtesy of LenzMazter Studios. So many trails to encounter. First time I came here I was worried about getting lost but was pleased to find out that all the trails are linked and will eventually lead you back to the starting point in the parking areas. There’s a variety of terrain and elevation to challenge various levels of fitness and nature loving enthusiasts. From bikers, runners, dog walkers, fishing, you can get your cardio up here or simply just relax by the Still Hollow Lake that flows around the park. Photographers and people looking for a location to do various kinds of shoots will find viable options here as well if you enjoy shooting in nature and getting out of the studio. Trails are colour coded and it’s easy to find your way around. You’ll enjoy...
Read moreVisited this park with from out of town with my family from Round Rock. Great location, nice tables and tent areas with barbecues. Easy access to the water for the JetSki!
The built-in barbecues are small so plan accordingly. Obviously: bring your own charcoal. bring a cart for all your stuff bring an extra 10x10 or 10x12 tent for more shade. bring trash bags bring gloves or some store plastic bags to pick up any trash you may encounter.
Our family / friend group size was 11 so they extra rent was a must for adequate shade.
Water shoes are a must! During our walk down to the water there was glass in some parts. Thank goodness I was wearing water shoes. Even better than just sandals. We picked up all the glass we found.
Reminder! Do not leave your trash, and do not have Glass bottles near the water. Keep the place looking great...
