One of the many amazing things that happened at this place : our group of 4 ended up split in 3 as we tried to find right trail to the falls. My Indigo blue sneakers kept attracting blue butterflies, and as I followed them I quickly found the right path and ended up alone at this beautiful fall! As I tried to leave to find and guide my friends to it, a couple of them landed on my sneakers and wouldn't just fly away even as I moved... I brought a couple of my friends back to it just as the 4th had found it herself. As they took the photo of me standing under falls, you can see how the orb light above has an indigo blue color that matches my (underwater) sneakers. It was truly a magical and unforgettable experience for all of us, as we each had something special happen while separated and all came back together under a shared experience at the falls. It truly deserves its name, Faery... (look closely on rocks and you will find tiny crystal offerings left by travelers to faeries, but please don't touch or...

Falls are gorgeous and drinking from the spring is fun.

However when you pull into the right hand parking lot and go on from that trail there's an encampment there and the guy has trashed the place.

I fully support people living in the woods but to leave garbage heaps all over the place in such a beautiful area is so wrong. Hope the forest service evicts this person.

As other people said it is a really sketchy spot but I didn't have my car messed with.

Trying to find the trail from that spot is very difficult so just go back up the road to the first campground area on the left and you will see a dirt road heading up the mountain. Follow that road up a ways. Pass Ney springs and then go up a short steep hill. After the short steep hill take the first turn off on the left that will bring you...

My partner and I did this short hike on Sunday, June 4th, and the one of the locals let us know the water flow is nearly twice the normal amount. It was beautiful and well worth the hike. As for the hike itself I would say it's a moderate hike, but only because of the elevation gain, the main path is fine, there's just a bit of elevation gain especially near the end. Somewhere about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way up to the main waterfall is short spurt that takes you to a smaller waterfall (picture #2). This smaller waterfall might not be much is the water levels weren't so high right now. Also, make sure google maps takes you to the Ney Springs trail head. For some reason it initially took us to a trailhead on...

Tucked away on a quiet road in NorCal near Shasta. This Faery waterfall is located in Siskiyou county it’s easy to miss but worth the stop. A peaceful 1.5 mile out and back hike through old ney springs ruins with crystal clear water beautiful greenery and a view that feels like a secret spot. You can see 7 iconic California waterfalls in one day! Here’s how! This itinerary assumes you stay with @cavespringsdunsmuir in Dunsmuir. Be ready to hustle, as this is a jam-packed itinerary. 🌊 Burney Falls Burney Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in California. πŸš— It’s a one-hour drive from Cave Springs and is the furthest waterfall. So once you get here, you’ll start working your way back. πŸ₯Ύ The trail that takes you to Burney Falls is closed for construction. But you can still view it from an overlook. 🌊 Upper McCloud Falls Upper Falls is the start of three breathtaking waterfalls along the McCloud River. πŸš— 40-minute drive from Burney Falls. πŸ₯Ύ It’s a short walk to see upper falls from the parking lot. 🌊 Middle Middle Falls πŸš— It’s a 1-2 minute drive from Upper Falls. πŸ₯Ύ A one-mile out-and-back hike from the parking lot. About 150 ft elevation change. Middle McCloud Falls is the most impressive of the three sections of McCloud Falls! 🌊 Lower McCloud Falls πŸš— A few minutes drive from Middle McCloud Falls πŸ₯Ύ Lower Falls is a short walk from the parking lot. No big hike here! 🌊 Faery Falls This waterfall is less popular, but wow, it is beautiful. As a bonus, you’ll see the ruins of an old resort built around the natural springs in this area. πŸš— 35-minute drive from lower McCloud Falls. The last mile of the drive is a dirt road littered with potholes. πŸ₯Ύ 1.4 miles out and back. 255 ft elevation gain. This waterfall is gorgeous! And you can get super close to it. 🌊 Hedge Creek Falls Hedge Creek Falls is unique because you can walk behind it. πŸš— 20 minutes from Faery Falls. πŸ₯Ύ Less than a mile hike from the parking lot. 160 ft elevation gain. 🌊 Mossbrae Falls Mossbrae is a touchy subject because you have to walk along train tracks to get there. So be careful if you go! πŸš— No drive since you can walk here from Hedge Creek Falls. πŸ₯Ύ From Hedge Creek Falls, continue walking down the trail to the Sacramento River. You will have to cross the river. ‼️ Be careful, as it can be slippery. Walk North until you see a train bridge and hear the falls. Boom! You just saw 7 epic California waterfalls πŸ™ŒπŸ½
