Some of the trail signs are oriented the wrong way. I noticed one here at this intersection. Some intersections they’re oriented the same way street signs are and others. They are rotated. 90° to that orientation so it’s confusing. Instead of intersecting road signs that don’t have a consistent orientation it would be easier if there was just a sign about 5 feet down the road after you turned telling you what trail you were on if you kept walking that direction.

The trails are a bit confusing because they meander back and forth (and some currently lead to dead ends), but each trail segment is VERY short so even if you aren’t sure where you’re going, you’ll find your way back to the trailhead. Lots of interpretive / educational signs, more so on the dirt trails. Water fountains are at the trailhead and the restroom pavilion, and they have the bottom section for dogs to get water too. Water tastes a bit off so I’d recommend bringing your own. The trees offer a lot of shade so it’s safe to bring your dog here during the...
Read moreBeautiful shaded trail tucked into Fairhope with a ton of thoughtful features. The paths wind through wooded areas with changing elevations, offering a peaceful walk or bike ride. Along the way, you’ll find benches, a bike repair tool station, and a three-level water fountain with spouts for bottle filling, drinking, and pets. There are also pet waste stations throughout the trail to help keep things clean. Highlights include a Creekside Classroom, a covered pavilion with gorgeous wooden tables, and clean bathrooms. A great spot for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors without...
