Georgia Furniture Mart engaged in deceptive sales practices, provided false assurances, and delivered a defective product all while refusing to take accountability or accommodate me as a customer. When I purchased my table, I specifically asked the salesman if it would fit in my vehicle. He assured me it would. When I arrived at the warehouse, it did not fit. I had no choice but to rent a truck and hire help just to get it home, which was both costly and inconvenient. At pickup, I was rushed through paperwork that limited exchanges and returns to seven days. The table was boxed, so I asked about inspecting it before leaving. The employee brushed me off, saying not to worry that if there were any issues, I could contact my salesman and they would come out and replace the table. I relied on that statement in good faith. When I finally unboxed the table, I discovered it was already damaged. The bottom was peeling, and plaster was coming off. This was clearly not caused by me! I hadnât even used the table yet. I contacted customer service right away. I was promised a manager would call me back, but no one ever did. When I followed up, I was told I would either need to bring the table back myself or pay an additional $79 for a ârepairâ or $180+ for delivery of a replacement. This is unacceptable and outrageous. Georgia Furniture Mart sold me a defective product, gave me false assurances at every step, and then tried to shift the burden and cost back onto me. Even management showed zero remorse, no accountability, and no concern for customer satisfaction. This is the worst furniture-buying experience I have ever had. It is bad business, plain and simple, cold, dismissive, and dishonest. They know this is a brand-new table that arrived defective, yet they still expect me to pay more. Whatever happened to accommodating customers? Whatever happened to standing by your product? This experience makes it clear they are only concerned with protecting themselves, not their customers. I will never shop here again. I strongly advise anyone considering Georgia Furniture Mart to steer clear.
EDIT/UPDATE: Itâs interesting that Georgia Furniture Martâs response here on Google is completely different from the one I received through the Better Business Bureau. On this public forum, they claim they want to âmake it rightâ and âtake these matters seriously.â But in their official BBB response, they hid behind paperwork, denied accountability, and told me my only options were to haul the defective table back myself or pay them $79â$189 more to fix or replace something that arrived damaged.
That is not âmaking it right.â That is passing the burden and cost onto the customer for a product that was defective from the start, despite the verbal promises made by their own employee at pickup that the table would be replaced if there were issues.
So letâs be clear: what they tell the public here is not what they actually do when you try to resolve a problem. Itâs bad business, dishonest,...
Read moreOk, I need to add to my review as this is key additional information that must be said and read. As noted below, the buying experience for Donna and I was spectacular! Turns out, the two men who delivered our new set were as great as Rasheen and Danny on the sales side of the equation! Yup, our experience only got better. Baron and Cecil were over the top knowledgeable and polite and incredibly helpful. See, as they were bringing in our beautiful and massive set; my wife and I were not sure exactly how we going to place it. It was better than we had thought and so, we wanted to tweak placement slightly. (And we also weren't sure how the whole thing even worked. (electric etc.) With huge smiles, both Cecil and Baron happily / and I'm not kidding / happily accommodated us. They even had great suggestions! Great guys and great experience!
I have to say it again. If you need furniture or appliances / do yourself a favor and save a ton of time and money and go directly to Georgia Furniture Mart.
Ask for Rasheen or Danny on the buying side and for Baron and Cecial on the delivery side. You will be delighted you did

As we all know, furniture shopping can be an incredibly stressful experience. Donna and I know that for sure because for weeks we visited store after store, in person and online, and either didnât like what we saw or left the physical store quickly because we were being followed around by an overzealous salesperson who was literally breathing down our necks, talking a lot and not listening to one word.
That all ended last Saturday when we had the extreme good fortune to visit Georgia Furniture Mart in Norcross, Geogia and had Rasheen Robinson as our professional assist . Hereâs what happened. On arrival, Rasheen politely greeted us and asked in general what we were interested in seeing. We replied, âa living roomâ and added that we were not sure exactly what we had in mind. He walked with us for a minute in route to the correct section of the massive store and as we walked politely explained what he and Georgia Furniture Mart were all about.
And then the miracle happened.
He left us alone.
He literally said, âHere you go and if you have questions, just wave me down and Iâll assist. Otherwise, enjoy your time. I hope you find what youâre looking for.
Bottom line is not only did we find exactly what we were looking for, we felt appreciated, respected and taken care of. We are extremely happy with our purchase.
So, if youâre in the market for furniture, do yourself a favor and go to Georgia Furniture Mart and ask for Rasheen. Tell him Donna and Michael sent you. Be sure to say hi to Danny too / he was equally helpful.
I left the store telling the manager that had there been âNo Rasheen or Danny, no deal!â...
Read moreWhat a nightmare! We initially went in and spoke with a sales person and there was no problem picking out furniture. We were told that some of the items were in stock and some of them would be in stock in a few weeks, which turned into a couple months. We went back and spoke to a different sales person and added more items to the order now totaling over $8000. When it came to be delivered the second salesman initially sold a different bed that didnât go with the bed set that we had ordered so it had to be sent back, causing us to wait a few more weeks for the correct bed to come in and an extra $250.
The initial bed that we had bought was delayed even longer than we were originally told, and when I called on the date it was supposed to be in, our original sales person was off for two days, and nobody else knew where the order was or if it was in or when it was coming in. When a sales person called us, she had told us that different parts were in and other parts were not, but they were different parts than what we were initially told. When it finally came in and it came to be delivered, it was damaged so they had to take it back and bring another one the next day. That one also had some staining on it, which the delivery drivers (who were great) tried to clean, but itâs not perfectly clean. Another issue is we bought an adjustable base with massage built-in, etc. for the new bed, even though we already had an adjustable base, we were told that it wouldnât fit so we had to buy a new one to fit the particular bed that we purchased, but now that itâs been delivered, the bed we purchased does not accommodate or fit any adjustable bed frame. There are rails on the side of the bed that prevents the adjustable bed frame from fitting, if you use the slats for this bed and set the adjustable frame on top of it, which is how the delivery people set it up, the mattress is halfway up the headboard, and once your pillows are on, they are above the headboard.
The sales people here will say anything to get you to buy stuff so they can make a commission and probably know very little about the items theyâre selling. I personally will never buy another thing from this furniture store again, and if you insist on shopping here I would advise you not to deal with more than one sales person because information clearly is not shared between anybody beside your sales person and whoever they speak with to find out if your items are in stock or not.
Attached our pictures of how the bed is supposed to look, how the bed currently looks, and the damage to the pieces that came in and had to...
