Hochstein Medspa — Attraction in Miami Gardens

On 6/11/18 I went to the Hochtein MedSpa for a shot a scar I have on my face (don't remember the name of it) and my sister went in for the Hydra Facial. Anyways, let me start by saying that this place is gorgeous and the staff in very very friendly, definitely make you feel welcome. I saw Jelena for my shot, she told me that it may not help like I wanted it to and that I would need to do the Halo laser treatment and that it would probably help out more, the treatment is $1,500 so it was something that I felt I needed to think about first.. However, as I was on the elevator on my way down to the lobby, I decided that I wanted to go for it. So when my sister and I got to our car, we discussed it for a second more and decided that I would go through with it. So right there in the parking lot, I called the office and spoke with Ally at the front desk. I was like 12 PM I believe. I asked if Jelena had any openings and I was told she could do it at 1:30Pm, so I took the appointment that same day. ( we had driven an hour from West Palm Beach, so we decided to hang out in the car downstairs and just wait the 1 1/2 hr.) Once 1:30 hit, we made out way back up. I was brought into a room where another woman put the numbing gel all over my face, she told me it would be about 20 mins, then she would come and wipe it off, then my sister and I waited in the waiting room area (very nice room BTW) however, to my surprise at around 2:00PM Jelena walked in the room to get coffee or a drink and was surprised to see me, when I told her I had made an appointment almost immediately after I left fro 1:30, she informed me how SHE WAS NOT AWARE OF THAT!! so you can imagine my shock. Either way, she told me she had to do some botox and would do my Halo next, so I didn't mind.... I waited until 2:30! with the numbing cream on my face ( I was told the longer i kept it on the better it would be for the laser, so of course I was going to keep it on) HOWEVER!, what I do MIND! is how when someone finally comes to get me from the room (again at like 2:30!), it's to tell me that the machine isn't working. So here is where my frustration kicks in!, this is a Med Spa! you are supposed to be on top of these things, I don't know if your machines get checked out, but it should have been... and no, not before you come get me (specially since I was told they had done a Halo procedure already that day), or at least have a back up machine... I found all of this UNACCEPTABLE!... so not only did Jelena not know that she was going to see me again, I keep the numbing cream on my face for an hour, and then you tell me the machine isn't working and that I would need to come back... I was frustrated, the girl at the front desk offered to give me a $50 credit when I came back for my Halo, but I'm sorry.... after all that... $50 towards a $1,500 treatment AFTER ALL OF THAT!? umm... no... not worth it.. sorry. I wish I would have had a better experience, but no, I won't be going back. Please check you equipment out, before you make your patients wait an hour with numbing cream on their face, oh and don't forget to inform your staff about the appointments they have! because mine had no idea I was even back in the building.... not very organized, at all... and it took my face close to 2hrs to get the...

I went here because I trusted the Hochstein name, but I’m really disappointed. I’ve had Botox done at least 20 times in different places over the years, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.

This Botox was a birthday present from my boyfriend, and it ended up being awful. I hate that something meant to make me feel good actually made me look worse.

I came in for the three areas that are commonly done: my forehead, area between my eyes, and beside my eyes. I spent 20 minutes explaining that I wanted a NATURAL look with some movement, especially in my forehead. She told me I needed way more, but I talked her down. She said $750 was the absolute minimum because it included my neck, and I agreed — thinking I was being careful. I even said that I think people with NO botox look BETTER than someone who is overdone and gave her an example.

Now my forehead is way too frozen and low, which is making my eyes look smaller — which is especially frustrating because I even said, “Botox can open or close your eyes depending on who does it.” Clearly, this did the opposite of what I wanted. I also have a weird circular swelling under my eyes, even lower where people have their circles-which I believe is from Botox being injected too low in the tear trough. I even asked her why she was injecting that low, and she said it was for wrinkles — but it obviously wasn’t done right.

They were nice during the appointment, but I’ve texted and called multiple times with no response. I honestly can’t imagine how much worse it would’ve looked if I had gone with the higher amount she first suggested.

Update: It’s honestly beyond words that instead of owning their terrible work, they made up a story that I “slept on my face.” That never happened. They never called or followed up despite what they claim.

They could try to fix their mistakes , but to completely fabricate an excuse and publicly blame the client is unprofessional and shows exactly how they handle mistakes. Never go here -the work was awful, and the way they handled it was even worse. I am attaching the only text I sent them along with a couple of pics. They never got back to me and I never had one conversation. I am in shock that a business could lie...

I came in for a consultation over a month ago. From the receptionists to the therapists to the manager, everyone, without exception, treated me with such love, care, and consideration. I wasn't sure what I wanted to get done, and every single person on the staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable. They made me so comfortable to the point where I received my first procedures on my consultation day. And I recently went back for VellaShape. They really took their time with me to understand what I wanted and how I wanted. Their goal was clearly to make sure I left the spa happy, and that's what happened at Hochstein MedSpa both times I was there. Not only I left happier, but I also left more confident, and I feel more beautiful.

Shannon, thank you so much for the tips and suggestions. I'm so glad you suggested the facial treatments I received on my first visit. It gave me such confidence; you can't even imagine! I can't thank you enough!!
