I recently had an unsettling experience at KidsQuest and I felt it was important to share my thoughts and concerns about my child's safety and the overall quality of care provided at this business. On Monday this business was staffed by at least four workers, with the expectation that they would provide a safe and nurturing environment I left my child for a little over 40 minutes while I went to grab a bite to eat downstairs. Unfortunately, my child had an incident where she was kicked in the eye by another child. What deeply concerns me is that none of these workers informed me about this incident, nor did they provide any care or attention to my daughter in response to her injury. As a parent, I trusted this centers to prioritize the safety and well-being of children. However, the lack of communication and care following this incident has left me feeling disappointed and worried about the level of attention children receive while in their care.
I strongly believe that parents should be promptly informed of any accidents or incidents involving their children, no matter how minor they may seem. ( My child eye was bloodshot red when I picked her up first thing I noticed.) Additionally, I expect the staff to take immediate action to ensure the child's comfort and well-being after an injury. The fact that my child's injury went unnoticed and unaddressed raises significant concerns about these āworkersā supervision and responsiveness. I also told them to leave a open tab for my daughter which she let me know she asked for a drink and the worker couldnāt even do that because āI have to wait for my bossā I am so upset I paid and gave these useless workers a tip before my child came out. They didnāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo not leave your infant or tot with these people. They lack respect, they're all clueless and run around without regard for the babies. When asked if I could see the infant room where my 11 month old son would be "cared" for...I was told "no"... literally just NO! No reason or apology just No. I politely asked for a supervisor and eventually through rolling eyes, loud sighs and even snooty smerks I was granted permission to be escorted to the area where my son was taken to. Yes he was already there... (because backing up a little)...when I first arrived I was greeted nicely by a warming lady with extended arms out to my little one...i was signing him in as that lady walked off with my little guy... prompting the "can I see where he is going to be? question.
Anyway I'm not too sure about the other kids areas...I'm pretty sure they're more cautious with children who can verbalize any mistreatment by the staff.
Just know that as a mom you're intuition is there for a reason. Listen to it!!!!
Extremely disappointed...and I feel like an awful mom. I did wind up pulling him out and leaving due to the horrible feeling I had. I'm glad I did because within the 10 minutes it took to speak with supervisor and also get no where by asking the providers a few underlying questions I had...he was bawling his eyes out. And he's not a clingy baby...he's one of three...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe did not have a good experience there just yesterday. ~4:45pm: We dropped our kids off at Kids Quest. We were given a barcode back to show upon our return. 5:20pm: We returned and showed them the barcode and paid the $15 they quoted us which in hindsight didnt make sense. They called for a boy over the speaker. We told them that was not our kid and that we had the three girls.
At this time, the manager on duty came over. This entire process was an additional 30-40 minutes as she tried to figure out the issue; and, she was rude and defensive this entire time. She also proceeded to charge us $38 on top of the $15 we had already paid. We had to again go back and tell her that she overcharged us and we now paid for 4 kids. She told us if we want to receive a discount or compensation we should "march upstairs and get a playcard" from Red Hawk.
As with the comment below it is is absolutely insane to me that we would both be charged for safety breaches and bad customer service. Aside from that they need to seriously look into how this happened and tighten up their procedures. This place is very unorganized and lead by...
