During Labor Day weekend in 2021, I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Las Vegas Temple, and it was an experience I'll always cherish. From the moment I arrived, there was an undeniable strong presence that enveloped me; a feeling of peace and sanctity that can only be felt in such a sacred place. This overwhelming sense of spiritual warmth reaffirmed my belief that visiting the temple is indeed filled with countless blessings.
As I meandered around the beautiful temple grounds, the kindness and friendliness of both the people inside and those I encountered outside were heartwarming. It was a true testament to the loving and caring community that the members of the Church strive to cultivate, and being on the receiving end of such graciousness was genuinely uplifting.
Witnessing members actively looking out for one another reinforced the sense of unity and love that the Gospel teaches. This memorable visit to the Las Vegas Temple not only provided me with a serene spiritual sanctuary but also showcased the fulfilling connections that come from being part of this faithful community.
I left the temple grounds with a renewed spirit, a deeper connection to my faith, and a grateful heart for the warmth and friendliness that was extended to me. The Las Vegas Temple is a beacon of light in the desert, offering peace, reflection, and belonging to all who visit. I highly recommend a visit to anyone seeking a profound spiritual experience in a place of beauty...
Read moreTwo of your missionaries just blocked me with their white Toyota Tacoma truck. I told them I wasn't interested and they gassed it and blocked me in further. They said they wouldn't let me leave until I went to church with them. I said I'm not interested and I'm just trying to walk my dog Will you please leave me alone. They laughed at me and asked if I wanted free books and I said please leave me alone I'm not interested. Then they told me I looked like I needed Jesus. Mind you, I just got off work as a dealer at a casino and I'm wearing loose fitting black pants and a long sleeve collared shirt buttoned up to the neck. Not sure how that screams I need Jesus, but as a born and raised baptized Catholic with all of her sacraments I was simply not interested. They still would not take no for an answer. they were scaring my dog, and frankly scaring me also and anytime I tried to back away or move forward they moved their truck so I couldn't. I called to 911 on speakerphone because they were being so aggressive and the driver told me "go ahead, who are they going to believe you or us?" This is very dangerous behavior for young males to feel that they are so entitled to trap a woman and her dog in an alley and not let them leave when I clearly said I wasn't interested. I would hate to see what they do to a female...

But I can promise that you can find peace and safety in Him. The gospel of Jesus Christ has provided my family both a foundation and a framework for our lives. When the decisions I make are based on that foundation and fall within that framework, I can bear my solemn witness that my family and I are blessed, protected, and prosper. Our family has seen so many blessings of both peace and happiness through this church.
