Lewiston Hill Overlook — Attraction in Lewiston

An absolute must! Beautiful views of Lewiston & Clarkson below. One side (on the right) is Washington and the other side (left) is the Idaho side!

Essentially two exits to get to the overlook. Basically the exit right before the weigh station and right after. The signs make you take the second one. But if you’re paying attention enough, you can take the first. Either one works great! We spent time taking photos and enjoy the blue skies and views for miles. This is a very cool road-side overlook high above Lewiston Idaho. The view is pretty epic, and down far below the viewpoint are a number of crosses and memorials erected (presumably) to honor those who have died coming off the mountain there.

The only down sides were the large amount of trash and graffiti and a lack of 'official' information, at least where we stopped along the frontage to take pictures.

We come up here, for many reasons: clear nights, snowy days, cloud inversions. It's special to us.

We got engaged up here! It was Halloween 2020 and we were dressed as Janet Snakehole and Bert Macklin. A light breeze was carrying hundreds of glistening silk strands of ballooning spiderlings while a murder of crows circles above. It was an awesome day.

It's definitely worth stopping and stretching your legs.
