AVOID! This FBO manager here clearly has NO aviation experience. She requires people to give the customer service agents a credit card to hold on file incase you leave without paying, apparently they have an issue with this. All agents I spoke to disagree with this practice and understand our frustration. The FBO has our multi million dollar jet on their ramp with our tail number which can be easily traced. No need for an FBO to hold a credit card on file. NO other FBO I've been to in my 18 years of flying has required a credit card to be held in case you leave without paying. Nothing is wrong with a pilot registering with the customer service agent, but to hold a card on file, this is not right. They also do NOT have a crew car. We paid $15 each way for an uber/lyft to take us across the runway for lunch. They have a van they will use but only if more than one person is working. So in our two days here, we never got a ride. Also, ubers/lyfts are LIMITED! The FBO does not keep rental cars on site like MOST FBOs. It's shows this FBO manager has ZERO aviation experience and knows nothing about the professional aviation industry. If possible, avoid flying into MTN! If you're "locally based" this may be a great place with nice front line employees but for anyone else, AVOID until new management with professional aviation experience starts...
Read more8 Sep 2017: Great service today. Excellent facilities and attitude from the FBO personnel. Felicity was very helpful and friendly at the desk and offered to take us to a great restaurant. We also visited the Martin State Aviation Museum - superb little museum with many actual static display aircraft outside. The $21 dollar fee to park a Cessna 150 for three hours was a bit steeper than most other FBO's, especially after buying fuel, but I understand running an airport or an FBO is not a charity. It does mean I can really only come back here 1-2 times a year though! Lower the fee for very light aircraft and I will be back much more often! Thanks for the great experience today at...
Read moreThe air traffic controllers gave atypical landing and departure instructions requiring clarification, the FBO did not greet us at the very distant ramp area (we had to call them). There were no tiedowns for any of the planes. Finally, the FBO couldn't be accessed from the tie-down area but you had to call the ramp guys to bring us around in a car to the parking lot in front of the building up 2 flights of stairs ( no elevators) to a dingy 1940s era office with a...
