San Francisco Peninsula — Attraction in Belmont

The San Francisco Peninsula is a peninsula in the San Francisco Bay Area that separates San Francisco Bay from the Pacific Ocean. On its northern tip is the City and County of San Francisco . Its southern base is in northern Santa Clara County , including the cities of Palo Alto , Mountain View, and Los Altos . Most of the Peninsula is occupied by San Mateo County , between San Francisco and Santa Clara counties, and including the cities and towns of Atherton , Belmont , Brisbane, Burlingame , Colma, Daly City , East Palo Alto , El Granada , Foster City , Hillsborough , Half Moon Bay , La Honda , Loma Mar , Los Altos, Menlo Park , Millbrae , Mountain View, Pacifica , Palo Alto, Pescadero , Portola Valley , Redwood City , San Bruno , San Carlos , San Mateo , South San Francisco , and Woodside . Whereas the term peninsula technically refers to the entire geographical San Franciscan Peninsula, in local jargon, "The Peninsula" does not include the city of San Francisco......The Peninsula has been my home for decades. I have lived many other places and this is my choice for Home. It is very expensive, but if you can get housing, it is the best place to live in the USA......A beautiful place near Silicon Valley, San Mateo County is expensive but has remarkable features. Places like Woodside, Portola Valley, Hillsborough and Atherton have 80% of the wealth, and 5% of the crime. Excellent police departments on top...

I always enjoy SF. Lots to see, tons of places to visit and things to do. I've been in the area for 15 years and still find myself discovering new places, epic little beaches and restaurants. Definitely one of the highlights of the west coast. Make it a point to visit the city and see some of it yourself. If you want a tip, try visiting Lands End Labyrinth, then grab a bite right near by at Pagan Thai and Burmese restaurant....
