Seaforth Park — Attraction in Pittsboro

Seaforth recreation area is great and has good access to Jordan Lake. This park has a boat ramp and basic trails to hike. There are picnic tables and grills and they can fill up when the weather is nice. There is a beach area and the water is around 4' deep at it deepest point at this park. Dogs are allowed but not in the sand. There is a volleyball area, a playground, and a bathhouse near the swimming area. The cost is around $6 per car during peak seasons and free to use most of the off season. Bring your own food and drinks. There is a lot of parking here although it does get busy in the summer, especially on Holidays. Directly across HWY64 is "Parker's Creek Recreation Area". Went in the fall. Nice area for group cookouts. Space for tents and hammocks. Small beach area but grass section helps.
