I recently took my Terrior and Weiner dog mix into the Tahoma Vetranarian Clinic to get vaccines at 3 months old. She was born with a hernia and the Vet said I should have it fixed when I have her spayed. When she turned 6 months old I called them for a quote. They emailed me one and I accepted it. I called them and made an appt. They called me the day before and said to have her there at 8:15am and no food after 8pm the night before and no water after midnight. I took her in the next morning and they told me how much I should expect to pay when I pick her up. I told them that it was way more than they had quoted me. So I had to go back home and get the quote they gave me and take it back to the clinic. By 1pm I was starting to get worried because I had not heard from them. I waited untill 3:30pm and called them because I was very concerned . The receptionist went to check on her and said they were preparing her to take her to surgery at that moment. I was not happy at all with this. She said it was because they were busy with emergencies all day. Could there really be 8 hours of emergencies in one town? Another 2 hours went by and by now I'm freaking out, my poor little dog had no water or food since the day before and was locked up in a kennel all day. Why didn't they just have me bring her in later if they weren't going to do her surgery untill last appt of the day. I called at 5:30 and asked if she was ready and they told me to go ahead and come to get her.. Finally got a call at5:45 telling me to pick her up at 6pm when they close. I said I was already on my way. When I got there I watched the vet come out and talk to 2 other dog owners and they told me he would be out to talk to me, but he never did. They brought me my puppy and I almost cried! They handed me her limp little body obviously she was still knocked out from the surgery. When I got home and looked at the surgery area it looked like a mess! She had sticky stuff all over her feet and legs. They didn't even have time to clean her up. On the quote they gave me there was a lower end price and a higher end price. I was charged the higher end even though on the paperwork it said that the surgery went without any issues. I wouldn't recommend this Vet clinic to any one unless you have a large animal, as they cater to the larger animals. That's why my little dog went last. The larger the animal the larger the bill. They are only in it for the money, not because they care about animals. It says right on their quote... Emergencies for little animals til 10pm and large animals 24/7. So if your little animal has an emergency after 10pm...
Read moreMy experience is very similar to John Wayne's who made a review here, after visiting this place with my bearded dragon and being very impressed with Dr lefavre, I decided to bring my dog in as well to get nuetered. Upon making the appointment I requested pre anesthetic blood work to ensure his safety while under anesthesia. After his blood work was taken I was told they would call me with results, I then tried to pay for the blood work and was told that it would be included with my total in the estimate for his nueter surgery. I told them I would like to get it done as soon as possible with the vet that had previously seen my bearded dragon. After days went by with no word I called and left a message requesting my estimate. I did not hear back so I called a few days later and was told that the vet wanted to perform another surgery simultaneously on his stomach to prevent bloat. "Ok " I said, "can I get an estimate?"... There was a long pause and the girl said the vet would call me...I told her my budget was around $500 and to let me know.... Fast forward a month and multiple calls from me and my husband later, finally a call back! ..i recieved a voicemail apologizing for their delay but because of this delay I need to pay for additional blood work......not my fault! Not only was my estimate within my budget ($550) but over a month later we need to run the blood work again. So another $90 ?? For a time delay on the part of your hospital? Needless to say I've attempted to work this out but as of today they are threatening to send me to collections over the blood work that I never received results for, nevermind I was not called back in a timely matter but they refused me proof of the blood work when I called in after receiving multiple harassing letters. Instead of offering to make this right or act on behalf of ethics they are more interested in getting a buck for services that they never provided. Avoid this place if you can, especially if you have an issue with liars. The office staff is not only unprofessional but this place is well known for their...
Read moreTHIS PLACE WILL FORGE MEDICAL RECORDS TO COVER THEIR TRACKS
This is the second time over the span of 3 months that we had tests done and the instructions that were given we will call you when we get the results IF they’re bad. Of course last time they were we was not notified but we called and they’re were like “oh sorry about that” so I gave them a second chance because every one makes mistakes. But I will speak on the recent occurrence in detail. All these fact were concluded after seeing them in person and questioning a few people there to finally get to the truth matching up Several stories and documents. They received the results for my pet and it was a full 72 hours after before we had to call them just to verify that my pet was indeed sick. We ONLY got the results because we called due to reoccurring symptoms. After hearing this of course as loving pet owner I was upset and told them I want a medical record and i would be switching vets AFTER i pick up the medicine to treat my dog. This is where the LIES came into play. The front staff’s story of the timeline didn’t match up to the doctors and none of it match the medical records. I arrived to pick up medicine but they said the doctor did not prescribe any. If my dog is sick why would the doctor not want to treat that? And in the notes for why there was no treatment was that “i refused treatment and that the doctor told us warnings of signs to watch for.” NONE of which was true. I just Thank god that my dog didn’t have something super serious or I would be burying my dog today. After consulting with local vets, dog groomers, dog day cares, and pet stores in search of a new vet it seems that this place is Notorious for having a downward spiral of reputation and lowering of standards. Any owner who loves their pet I would take them else where. Because at the end of the day they will FORGE documents to cover...
