We’ve been meaning to write this review ever since our daughter’s wedding on May 31st, and we’re so happy to finally share our experience.
From the very first day we stumbled upon this beautiful venue all the way to the wedding day itself, everything was truly a 5-star experience. We chose this venue for many reasons, one being the incredible value in what’s included. The package came with so much — the DJ, all the décor (including beautiful candlelight throughout), the cake and cake stand, one leg of transportation (the limo), delicious food and drinks, and even a sweet bar. And best of all, we did not have to set anything up. Laura and her crew did everything!
Guests are still raving about how amazing the food was and how impressed they were by the top-shelf alcohol at the bar.
The venue is owned and operated by a young married couple, and it’s so clear that they genuinely love what they do. Laura and her husband, the chef, were an absolute pleasure to work with — professional, helpful, and kind, as were all of the staff on the wedding day.
Laura truly went above and beyond — not only during the planning stages but especially on the wedding day itself. She made sure everything ran smoothly, coordinating all the moving parts behind the scenes and helping us manage deliveries and timing. We didn’t have a personal wedding planner, and honestly, we didn’t need one. Laura was our planner from shortly after the engagement all the way through the end of the wedding night!
Right from the start, they provided helpful recommendations for photographers, bakeries, videographers, photo booths, and more. They made what could’ve been a stressful process feel smooth and enjoyable. We couldn’t be happier with our choice!
Thank you so much Tchoupitoulas Plantation for a truly magical experience...
Read moreTchoupitoulas Plantation at Cedar Grove hosted our wedding in Sept. 2024. What an awesome environment to have a wedding. This is an historic environment with a lot of history. Considering my wife and I grow up relatively close to here more than fifty years ago we couldn’t wait to have all our friends and family gather here for our wedding.
Laura the owner and host did an awesome job. She kept us on track throughout the process, ensuring we had all the eyes dotted, and tees crossed. She continued to follow-up until wedding day. On the day of our wedding the place was amazingly done. She made everyone feel very welcome. The staff did an amazing job of keeping everyone’s glass and stomach full. Laura continued to provide oversight and guidance throughout the night while the festivities were going on to ensure a great and meaningful event for everyone.
Laura’s husband Pat is the chef. He is an awesome man who socialized prior to the event. He has a great personality and did great job with the food. I had friends come from all parts of the country. Everyone raved about the food and especially the Cajun food. The presentation of food was incredible. There was not one bite of any part of the meal/appetizers that was not delicious. The truth of the matter is Pat did such a great job with creating a delicious meal, that alone is worth the venue.
But to see all our friends and family enjoy the evening and rave about the venue and food afterwards makes us feel blessed to have selected such a great venue to host our most treasured moment of our life.
Laura and Pat, “Thank you so much for making our wedding so beautiful and memorable!”. You are the...
