Very nice and very clean. This is a rest stop and tourist information center that shows a lot of history for Texas and all the tourist information to make your trip joyous and exciting. Texas is a very large state and without the tourist information you can be in Texas and still not see what the state has to offer. Again I say tourist information center is your best bet to find all of the entertainment that you would like because as they say everything is bigger in Texas and you can spend a lifetime trying to find the attraction that really interests you. This travel center also has parking for 18 wheelers, cars and RV'S. There are many beautiful places to take selfies so that you can have your memories of the state as well as a large image of the state where all tourists find themselves posing in front of so sometimes there's a line. I hope you enjoy your visit to Texas as much as I did and the travel center made it easy for us to navigate through the state finding All the attractions and restaurants that we've been waiting to visit. AGAIN I SAY ENJOY YOUR SELF, ENJOY YOUR STAY AND DON'T MESS...
Read moreAs we entered Texas from our summer family vacation, we stopped at the Texas Welcome Center and Rest Area and it was by far the cleanest, most welcoming rest stop we encountered on our trip from Texas to Minnesota and back.
The facilities were spotless, safe, and beautifully maintained. The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even gave my toddler a free practice coloring book and kindly pointed out that all the tour guides, maps, and books on the shelves are free for visitors. It was such a thoughtful touch that made us feel truly valued.
This rest area isn’t just a place to take a break it’s educational, organized, and a wonderful introduction to the state. Anyone traveling into Texas should make it a point to stop here, not only for a clean and safe place to rest but also to pick up free tour guides and helpful resources for exploring the...

They had a good amount of information about it , but were not giving away the glasses . A week or so before , I had gone to the Arkansas welcome center north of Texarkana and they had plenty of the glasses , and were giving them to anyone who wanted them , free and as many as you like . The Texas center does have plenty information about anywhere in Texas you could possibly want to go to . The ladies there are very friendly , knowledgeable , and helpful with their brochures and maps . The lady who helped me gave me a trash bag with what I was asking about and several stickers about...
