While the venue is pretty, heed the warnings about the staff. My daughters wedding was a beautiful affair, dealing with this staff was terrible. We paid in full 2 years before our date when the venue was a pile of dirt. Once we paid, we did not hear from the staff until we called and left a nasty message because the date was rapidly approaching and we couldn’t get any information. Our initial contact left the company and we were saddled with Hannah. An unprofessional child who knows nothing about the rules of the establishment and apparently knows nothing at all really. We were promised a glamorous full service experience what we got was: 12k+ up front for access to the site (house, pool, event space). What we didn’t get: Any answers to questions. A working ice maker in the suites/house. The event kitchen ice maker is limited to just the kitchen and they will harass you about using the ice for anything but event drinks. The bridal suite has a crusty old mini freezer that never produces any ice. A working kegerator. Advertised but it’s unplugged in the kitchen and you are not told to bring your own tap kit AND ice AND bucket. They apparently have zero trash bins or tubs to assist with their broken equipment and they have little faith in their industrial ice maker. I was strongly encouraged to provide my own ice. I read a review and learned to ask. The keg sat in front of the kegerator on the floor. There is also no dolly for use and zero assistance unloading all the supplies they DO NOT include in the hefty price. A clean margarita machine (150.00 rental). It was dirty and the check in person started cleaning it after I had to lose it on her because she told us we couldn’t park at the venues entrance while we were unloading supplies by ourselves because 17+k dollars does not buy help for that. Working plumbing or pot holders in the house where the kitchen is and where you are encouraged to “hang out” pre event. Apparently as long as you don’t need to heat food or wash hands in said kitchen. You also don’t get a complete breakdown of what is required of clients. Remember I paid in full two years in advance. I was not told I was required to have event insurance until 2 DAYS before the event. Via email. That 12K we paid up front did not include 150.00 rental for a wooden arch with draping that my planner had to redo because it looked like a teepeed tree and check in person lied and said the planner approved it. (This is why the talking to happened before the margarita machine cleanup). The projection mapping is really cool but you pay 4K extra! for what is advertised as a professional lighting tech running your visuals. What you get is an idiot with an iPad picking pre-programmed scenes and then not programming it correctly. A spotlight costs 85.00 extra. So that’s 12k up front+4K for visuals+all the nickel and dime stuff. You will still need to come out of pocket for linens and tables once you reach a certain number, lighting options which start at 5K now, microphones or speakers, any decorative accents. Finally the price tag does not include a cleaning crew, that’s extra or you and your wedding party are doing the work. The cost does include a day of planner or vendor host who tells you they will be there the whole day but then emails your planner the day before saying just kidding they will show up an hour before your event and never interact with you. Spend your money somewhere else. This place is pretty but in order to make it worth the cost they need to do...

Buyers Remorse... that's the best way I can sum up the experience provided by The Dallas Oasis post contract signature. When you pay 27K+ for 1 day of usage at the venue, you would think they would treat you like distinguished guests in their “home”, at the very least. Since it’s a wedding, the most important day of many couples’ lives, you would think the venue would make you feel like royalty, especially with all of the amazing opportunities you would have with referrals as our wedding had 350 total people and as many vendors needed to run the day as smoothly as possible. Instead, Ashlee, Serena (mainly) and Andrea actively played defense in hopes we wouldn’t be successful.

Every time we had to work with them, a new challenge would come up in which they never communicated, or lied to us about, previously and we were the ones left scrambling to find a solution. They would take days to respond after they would drop an unexplained problem we, nor our wedding coordinators, had a clue about. We would immediately call/email/text and it was never important enough for them to see our urgency. When they did respond, they never would give us suggestions when we were obviously in a frantic state based on them dumping new, jaw dropping, information on us...even up until hours before the ceremony actually happened. This happened to the point where we had to record and save all of the discussions to assure we weren’t being dramatic due to emotions surrounding the big day. The lack of care, communication, empathy, and want for a great day was evident and we were blindsided as every one of our vendors was amazing to work with, except them. Not one of our vendors found The Dallas Oasis’ behavior normal and even our team of coordinators had to question their tactics since it was apparent they had a huge issue with us. Every person has a unique personality, so it came as a SHOCK to us that we were told Serena was verbally aggressive and physically demeaning to one of our sweetest coordinators. One which leads by faith and love and never lets her smile fade, yet Serena found a way to break her as they, yet again, tried to sabotage the wedding.

I worked in the hospitality industry for the better part of a decade, and I rarely comment on establishment as I try to refrain from damaging a business’ brand. It’s hard enough these days with instant feedback reviews some are happy to make based on the tiniest of inconveniences. Because of this, I typically chalk it up to an off day by me or them, so I just choose to either move on and forget or never go back. THIS situation calls for a warning to all. Although you may feel the price of The Dallas Oasis is justified by the size and projection mapping, you may be surprised to find that these are truly the only perks that will be available to you in order to have a seamless wedding. Also, don’t forget, one bad weather day or interference could knock out your Wi-Fi and the projection mapping won’t work. This happened during one of our walk throughs after a very normal rainfall the day before. I promise you; you will never get your moneyback on that as the contract states mother nature cannot be a factor in getting any sort of refund. At the end of the day, you will inevitably have to have a fully customized, a-la-carte wedding, but then have to coordinate at the mercy of the ill-equipped, non-customer service- focused, unreliable, and ethically lost team at The Dallas Oasis. Are you sure you want that many forces working against you on...

Please take these negative reviews seriously. I would strongly reconsider using the Dallas Oasis as your wedding venue. A lot of these positive reviews are not from people actually having wedding there. Even some current employees are among the 5 star reviews. The venue is beautiful and our wedding was the best day of our lives. Our experience with them was extremely unpleasant.

Our initial visit with Ashlee went really well, she was kind and took the time to answer our questions and give us the tour. Unfortunately Ashlee gave us a lot of misinformation when it came to what was included with the venue. She told us that linens would be included which I then factored into the cost of the venue, seeing as we were paying 27,000 to use it. She also informed us that we would be able to use the guest house overnight the day of our wedding, also a lie. Ashlee ended up being removed from her sales role due to "inconsistencies". We were never informed of this until we wanted to confirm linen colors and quantity. The linen issue was remedied by giving us a refund which we were appreciative of, and felt that that situation was handled appropriately by Serena. This happened in February and I specifically expressed that I was nervous about any issues that may pop up between now and our October wedding. Once we got our 90 day venue host, more issues started to arise. Our initial venue host set up a meeting with us to begin going through details, she later left the organization and it took us almost a month to be set up be another venue host. When it comes to a wedding of 350, that time is crucial in planning and organizing. Any time we would point out issues we were having, the venue would take at least a full day if not longer to respond.

Our wedding weekend was raining on and off, we had a contingency plan in place for an indoor reception. We were asked if we wanted to use the flip team, which we were not sure because of the weather. Instead of appropriately communicating with us the deadline, the venue host allowed the deadline to pass making us unable to use their flip team. We had an in person and a virtual meeting the week of the deadline, where nothing was said about a flip team deadline. We know because we started recording every interaction with the Oasis because of how terrible communication was with them. We asked for other flip team vendors we could get in contact with, and were ignored for days. This is happening Monday- Wednesday and our wedding is on Friday. We kept getting told "we aren't trying to bully you" and we didn't ever feel bullied, we felt ignored and unimportant. Even with our contingency plan in place over a week before the deadline, the venue REFUSED to set up the partition to divide to indoor ceremony space with the rest of the reception set up. Serena locked her office door and was very rude to our assistant wedding coordinator and then left the property to avoid speaking to our head wedding coordinator. My husband had to pay someone hundreds of dollars to come set it up for us.

I understand things won't be perfect in a wedding, but it as so discouraging to have the venue behave that way especially considering the cost of the venue. We have absolutely 0 issues with the rest of our vendors, and I am so grateful to them for still creating the wedding of my dreams even in the chaos. The Oasis team's poor communication and misinformation cost us thousands of dollars to find solutions to various issues. Please proceed with...
