Great wooded trails in a manageable park. We visited early on a weekday and had the entire park to ourselves. We had a great walk before the sun was high despite the excessive heat warning to take effect later.
The park attracts a lot of mountain bicycle riders, and sadly there's no map and often no delineation of the walking versus bike trails. It seems that the numbered colored marks are generally for bikes and the silver vertical rectangular marks are for foot traffic. I believe there are multiple foot trails from the time years ago when the park was operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Unfortunately vandalism along the river edge of the park (broken fencing and graffiti) underscores that responsible adults need to closely monitor juveniles and their own path lest they damage the park further and/or slip and fall towards the river.
If you need a place for socially distant picnicking, there are a couple of sizable pavilions and maybe a dozen or twenty picnic tables and grills. The park also has some restrooms but we didn't go in so I don't know if...

That was quite the surprise! She has so much history in her. I told her this information needs to be in a book. She has experienced so much in her life.
