I visited with my teen daughters, best friend, and her teen daughter for memorial day this year. It was beautiful. It's a short wall in wooded area, maybe 10 minutes before you get to the waterfall. It's very serene. You can climb up along side the waterfall or you can climb on the flat rocks running along the waterfall. There was someone swimming when we got there, and it definitely seemed like a great spot to dip in the water. It's got plenty of shade on the paths and plenty of paths to explore for awhile. It can be a short walk just to check out the waterfall, take a dip in the water, or hours or exploration. It's a nice place to have a picnic, take the family or friends and just spend the day there. If you're in the area, be sure to check this place out. There's also a decent amount of parking. Everything about this spot is simple, peaceful, and relaxing. There's cell service here as well, so you don't have to worry about not being able to keep in touch with people while you're visiting. Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the waterfall, or put on some music and make your own vibe. Either way this a great spot to hang out and enjoy nature without the physical exertion required to get to a beautiful view such as...
Read moreLoved this beautiful natural wonder! It was a busy spot in the winter, but if you hike up and behind the main attraction you get to see more of it with less people. If temps are cold be prepared for lots of ice. Sheets of flat slippery ice covering most of the walkways and trails. We came prepared in good boots and yak trax.
This is an easy hike for kids, ours were just fine hiking the trail. Aside from the beautiful stream rolling over the exposed granite, the forest is also stunning with it's dark ever greens, birch trees and cute little mint green lichens. You can smell the trees as you hike through the forest.
The trail beyond the main attraction of the baths isn't marked very clearly so we lost it a few times, but as long as you are in earshot of the water you will find you way back. They should consider updating the trail markers if they want to preserve the area and keep feet in the trail. We ended up coming down a side stream to make our way back to the entrance.
There is an open bathroom at the entrance, but it is more of a large port a potty. There was nowhere for the kids to wash their hands...
Read moreDiana's Bath is on Westside road, a road which itself is very scenic. Google has the exact location of the spot so no worries in finding it. Regarding the place, it is popular with tourists since it is not easy to find a place to park your car even on Monday. From Parking area, it is 5-7 minutes walk. The walk itself is really good and will give you feel of walking into middle of jungle. And if you are going during the Fall season as we did, you are in for a treat since surrounded by beautiful yellow and orange trees will give you real feel of fall. The bath is actually a small water stream going down on boulders. You can easily climb and walk on these rocks and kids will really enjoy it.
However, if you are looking for solitude or scenic scenes, you will be disappointed. It is too crowdy, and if it has not rained then you will only see rocks. But if you have kids, then...
