Am a local to the state of NH about 1.5hr drive from this beautiful place Will recommend Will return I have state park plates so I went to New Hampshire State Parks website and made a reservation for this particular day in Wood State Park plates you pay one dollar which is your processing fee Without state Park plates, the entry fee is eight dollars per car I recommend making reservations on the website rather than just rolling up in person. They do have a large parking lot, but it seems to fill very quickly. The beach is very family oriented. You can rent canoes. You can rent kayaks. You can rent paddle boats. The fees are very reasonable. They have tubes. You can also purchase for a small fee of six dollars. The beach was not overcrowded. They have many hiking trails and areas around that area as well. They have charcoal grills that you can use up off the beach with some grassy area that you could also camp at. There is also a bathhouse there that’s open as well as a small store There are no lifeguards it’s a swim at...

We parked at Echo Lake State Park and hiked Bryce Path up to Cathedral Ledge on Oct 24, 2020. Although the bike is short, it is intense! The day we went it was very foggy and warm, but the mist made the rocks and roots very slippery. It's a very steep climb for roughly a mile, and I highly recommend hiking poles. Tough stuff, but incredibly rewarding at the top. The views are unmatched, but it is busy (you can also drive so there's a lot of people). Plus, when we went there was almost no visibility so that was a bummer.

On the hike down we walked the road until the Bryce Link Trail meet up with it on the left after a few miles of walking (the trailhead is well marked). Take that back to the first half a mile of Bryce Path and you skip all the dangerously parts of the climb! I was really worried about slipping on the way down because of the weather and how steep the trail is. This alternative route worked great.

10/10 would recommend! Especially on a sunny, clear day - even if it means MORE crowds. Bring your mask...

Should be renamed “EPIC” Lake State Park 😂👌🤩 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Sheer cliffs you can walk right up to the base of, look up and 🙏 a boulder doesn’t let go ☠️ 😃. Trails go down by the lake around Cathedral and White Horse ledge which lead to the top of both ledges 👆🏔👆. Theres cross county ski trails and bike paths that intersect the main hiking trails, so pay attention to what trail your on and which turns you take 👀🤘. Going up Cathedral Ledge via the Bryce Pathis steep AF in places, so make sure your defibrillator is %100 charged 🤣🤣😂😂😊 🫀🫁🫀🫁🫀🧠🫀🫁😅😅. Looking to spend the afternoon hiking, go here.
