Crooked Lake Park & Beach — Attraction in Coon Rapids

I caught this nice Bass fishing from my boat. The launch is a single lane and can get backed up. The could possibly expand it to make a 2nd lane. The lake itself is good for tubing. The pan fish I caught were all pretty small and not worth keeping. This lake does prohibit anglers from keeping any Bass that are caught. This is strictly catch and release for all Bass. It has a playground, beach and fishing dock. I launch my canoe from here and this is a good lake for bass fishing. All bass are catch and release only and Ive seen a couple nice ones pulled from this lake. The fishing dock usually has a monster bass that hides out underneath. Everyone that has seen it has tried to catch it but it doesnt take anything. I've seen it pulled out once by a little kid using a minnow and bobber and released back. Small lake with decent fishing. Lake produce nice largemouth bass, panfishes, and catfishes. As I'm writing this, the park is currently going through a remodel.
