Farmer Jeff purchased his 12 acres in Robertson County in 1995 with no such visions of Honeysuckle Hill, just a place to “raise his kids and do a little farming”. He had a Fall Festival for church friends and neighbors for the first time in 2003 and discovered a passion. Honeysuckle Hill Farm was born and has since evolved into Middle Tennessee’s Largest Outdoor Halloween Attraction, featuring Scream Creek Haunted Attractions plus the addition of Nashville’s Music City Corn Maze and the Zipline Adventure Park. Now covering 200 acres, Honeysuckle Hill Farm is managed by Farmer Jeff and his family, plus 150 of the finest farm hands in Tennessee who are living the dream, sharing their traditions, and making memories.
We visited Honeysuckle Hill Farm on the opening weekend of their 15th Annual Fall Festival. The first thing you notice is that tucked away in the rolling hills of Springfield, TN is this gorgeous and expansive property with lots of room for children and/or adults to run and play. There is ample room for parking and a great spot take photos as you enter the large pavilion entrance.
You can start exploring the farm right out of admissions. You will find a pond pavilion, duck races, cow train ride, sand pit, airplane fortress, and much much more!!!
As we continued around the farm we found the haystack maze, chicken show, petting farm, gemstone mining, and even pig races (Go Sqwilly Nelson!)!!!
Around the gemstone mine, we found ourselves in front the rock wall and where you can get set up to zip line across the farm.
Not far from the rock wall my 3 year old daughter found the treehouse village! Also next to tree house village, we found the new apple blasters, duck pond, tire mountain and tractor playground.
As we continued around the farm, we found (not far from the tractor playground) the Nashville Country Music Corn Maze!!! But before you start this 12 acres of excitement, you have to grab a prop and take a photo with the cast!!!
Up next was the Pumpkin Train, which is my daughters favorite thing to do, and she was even able to pick a pumpkin to take home. (NOTE: You do have to have a ticket to ride the train.) You will also find The Back 40 Snack Shack and The Back 40 Ball Zone, so you could grab a drink, a bite to eat and play a couple ball games. A couple other fun activities are the Miners Mountain, The Corn Popper and The Pumpkin Hopper.
As we headed to the middle of the farm, we found very clean restrooms with a diaper changer station.
After that pit stop, we ate at Grandma's Kitchen and picked up some fudge at KK's Sweets and Treats. In the same area you can find The Pumpkin Maze, Rat Race and The Fun House.
Last activity was The Hay Ride, and as predicted, my daughter absolutely loved it. Once we were finished with The Hay Ride, we made are way over to the Farm Market. They offer pumpkins, flowers, jams, jellies and many more items that you can purchase to take home and enjoy.
Honeysuckle Hill Farm is a great family fun place to spend a couple hours or the whole day. It is amazing, all of the fun activities that they offer, and its a great place for the kids to burn off some energy. There is a LOT to do, and it's well worth the admission price to spend the day. What we did not get to do, on account on having an easily frightened young child with an early bedtime, was Scream Creek and the bonfire rental. After dark, Honeysuckle Hill's Scream Creek haunted attractions come into play with three different areas. Once you're done being scared stiff, you can rent a bonfire spot and roast S'mores with friends and family. I look forward to the enjoying these once Livvy gets a little older.
If you love the Fall Season and want a place to take the family, this is absolutely the perfect place. This is our second year going and we already have plans on going back this year. Also make sure to purchase a Bounce Back Pass on your way out, for $7.00 plus tax you can come back later...
Read moreWe went over the weekend (the last day they are open) got there a few minutes before 6 when they are open until 9. When we paid for our tickets ($50 for me and my 2 kids) my friend and her family was with us. AFTER we paid the lady said the hayride, pumpkin train, and one other train was closing at 6 no big deal there’s plenty others to do we rushed to one of the trains to get one in and when we got off and went to the next thing, the swings, they called that was the last ride. Which was odd but ok we went to the slide and were told we couldn’t go it had closed mind you it’s literaly a few minutes after 6. The ONLY thing still open was the corn maze we did that 3 times still before 7:30 and started playing on the play set and a man walked up and told us it was closed we couldn’t play on this. This man was very rude, would not let any of us talk, and refused to answer any questions we had, and even lied to us. Every time we asked why they wouldn’t have told us before we bought tickets that they were closing early today (which would only give us 15 minutes to do anything after spending an arm and a leg) he cut us off every time and continued saying we could do the corn maze (knowing we had done that 3 times bc we told him numerous times) or go to the store and buy stuff (yeah right I’m not spending anymore money there) he then lied to us and said it says on their website they close at 6 it DOES NOT and he refused to show us where it was at. He got very loud and ugly in front of all of our kids. He then said that they had no lights on the entire farm and that they never have lights so that’s why they close at 6. Which again was a lie there were lights all over the place just not working. And some of the other rides that closed down had told us their generator went out (which I understand) but they could have said that when we bought tickets that we would only get to do the corn maze after driving over an hour to get here! I was very dissatisfied with this place and the price much less the disrespect shown by employees! Such a waste of money and lots of very upset and disappointed kids. My daughter (she’s 3) went home and told her dad that the people were ugly. Now that is sad. All the employees were enjoying their time at a bonfire and they all were there not anywhere else on the farm and we are assuming they just didn’t want to deal with their jobs so they could have a bonfire. I never again will go here and I will be sure to tell all my friends and family why they shouldn’t go either. I’d give zero...
Read moreWe were excited to try this place and chose it over another we usually go to and love, but it ended up being a disappointment overall. First, it cost almost 50 for three of us to get in plus 5 for the armband that includes the pumpkin and drink (it was cheaper than paying 8 at concession). Just for reference, we took kids ages 4 and 1.
Honestly, our impression of it was that of an overpriced fair or carnival. A lot of what they had to offer that was included in the price of general admission you could find at a local park for free. There was a lot there, but a lot of it was repeated - how many wooden tractors with slide attachments can there be at one place?? You had to intentionally get lost in the corn maze because the entrance was also the exit (??). The hay ride was OK but it was more of a caged trailer than a real hayride. The jumping pads were fun for my 4 year old and the corn box was nice. We didn't try any food because we didn't want to spend any more money than we already had.
The pumpkin ride and pumpkin was included in the extra armband we bought, but we didn't know that they would require 2 just to allow an adult to ride. We wanted to use it to let my husband take our 4 year old to get a pumpkin but they wanted to charge him to go as well. We did not want to pay yet another 5 dollars just for him to chaperone our daughter for a tiny pumpkin so we ended up not even doing that. Not only that, but the pumpkin patch is just a small field with store bought pumpkins scattered in it. Not a real patch!
I give this place 2 stars because my daughter liked a couple of the things there and we didn't have to wait in many lines at all for the things that we did. There really wasn't much for my 1 year old to do that we couldn't have done at a local park but they didn't charge for him to get in.
Overall, maybe if you have older kids and plan to spend the entire day, this may be a great place for you. We felt like we spent way too much money for things we could have found elsewhere for much cheaper (and...
