Agate Beach — Attraction in Coos Bay

Nice little beach tucked away in the neighborhood that can be accessed from the Tseriadun State Recreation Site. Quiet and not crowded any of the times I was there. Found some nice little agates while strolling the beach and captured some beautiful photos of the calm after a storm and the coastal sunset. There are no restrooms, but there is a Porta-Potty available near the parking area. There's a couple of easy and short trails to walk to get to the beach access. Well, depending upon the time of year you will find petite tumbled pebbles in the surf, or if in late winter, larger size nuggets of Agate after storms. The beach is easy to reach, just a short walk. There is a porta loo in the parking lot. The beach is very clean and it is a nice courtesy to others and the wildlife to keep dogs leashes. Fantastic beach!! Loved hunting for agates with the whole family, listening to the waves and the birds. I climbed the rocks on the south side by myself, not safe for kids nearly slipped, and found a bunch of sea anemones and a large bed of muscles. We went three days in a row.
