Hughes Historic House — Attraction in Coos Bay

If you love the creek of old floors and seeing history first hand this is the place to go. The view from the house is so beautiful and the house itself was fun to walk through. I don’t think there is enough to look at to consider driving a long distance to go see but if you are in the area I’d go. After all it’s free and the volunteers are so kind. What a neat spot. It's a bit of a drive from the main road but worth the history. The people that volunteer inside give a great little tour and fun historical facts about the Hughes family. I felt such a presence at the top of the stairs. I bet there's a lot of that around. The property is breathtaking. There is a Porta potty toilet nearby if needed.
