This is the second time I've been here. The first time it had rained the day before, so I didn't walk too far. However today was a nice day and walked towards the hill from the old post office building. I had two choices at the intersection go up the steep hill or left. I went left on a rocky road. Wear good shoes because there are areas where the ground is unstable because of rocks. This is not a path for strollers or walkers because it isn't a smooth path. The main path is clearly marked but some trails are off the main path for people to venture on. The left road wraps around back to the main highway. If you use Google maps satellite view you will find a path that leads you back to the big open field behind the post office and the parking lot.    Read moreBig wide open spaces. Nice large covered patio area. This is the only shade area, so it would be nice to see additional cabanas or shaded areas with concrete floors and seating. You know how hot it gets here in Central Texas during the summer. Rest rooms are around back on this building. Park needs more garbage cans.
The park has acres of wide open spaces ideal for kite flying. The grounds are mostly flat and well maintained for a park that doesnât have any flowing water or soil irritation. Lacks vegetation or and landscaping of any kind.
