One Great, historical, eye stunning part of Georgia. The past presents itself here, as this pristine tower is a testament of time, that bellows waves of sustainability and levels of perseverance that permeated into the ether surrounding me. Gaining confidence and courage to be similar on my journey. This was an experience I needed, it will most likely be insightful and humbling to all. It seemed to resonate the pasts secrets, as soon as I reached the top and with more observations came new understanding and respect. Even took on empathy for humanity that is striving in and still on there feet" In Today's world". Its personally very exciting how this surmounted time and outlasted man's forceful hands, and into those who preserved it just to be here today. This is one place that is often overlooked, if not left out of the experience that is Georgia. This beautiful spot, lies hidden within a wall of modernized houses in one direction, the opposing side, an amazing view of the preserved forest, with a beautiful ever changing scenery. Lakes and rivers are just beneath the tree tops, as you are suspended above it all, looking out from high above. Sometimes seemingly a part of the sky, this is only If the weather is just right, then clouds and fog mix an consume you for the time being! The magnitude of the experience is dependent on the time of year, and a willingness to accept all it offers to you. Many people will live their entire life without having even known of its existence. Thus, this was a very exciting and rewarding experience for me. Not many people are interested in traveling to Cornelia/Mount Airy, Or they do not know about it.
Its a must for those unfamiliar with Ga and are traveling HWY 441 and near by.
Artist appreciation is high in all months of the year. So bring your paint and relax. No. It's not a big park, but the immense feelings and ideas gained will be. I appreciate what insight I obtained from this beautiful day trip. All it offered to me, is now waiting for you. Safe travels!
*Bring chairs for those unable to sit comfortably on the ground. A place for those wanting to get closer to the great magnet and find comfort within!

Read moreThe tower is incircled by a asphalt ring road that appears wheel chair friendly. For the young and fit crowd, I saw a path leaving the ring road descending to Lake Russel Park. Signage at the tower is minimal, so if you're planning to explore the area, I suggest you start at Lake Russel which is tied to the National Park system so you can study faded maps showing a trail encircling the lake as well as the trail that goes up to the tower. Chenocetah in Cherokee means "see all around", which is descriptive of the winter view, but the leaves of summer say "trees in every direction". There are no restrooms near the tower. Again, visit Lake Russel Park for...
Read moreOur visit to Chenocetah Lookout Tower was a nice chill visit. Unfortunately, we made it to the tower right at dark. We got a pretty good open view from beside the parking area.
After reading the signage beside the road we walked up to the tower. Sadly, we found a locked door. After admiring the tower from the outside, we decided to sit down at the picnic table and enjoy a nice snack. Even though the picnic table was not on the sidewalk it was still pretty well lit by the street lights.
I would definitely love to visit this tower and see the view...
