Beatty's Ford Park — Attraction in Cornelius

Vast lake in the middle adjacent to park but access to water front(to immerse your feet) for public/ pedestrians is limited - have to sneak through bushes or hang around an un-used raft unsafely tied to a half drowned tree trunk on the bank of the lake. Wondering why the marine life in the lake is so scanty_diesel pollution!!! If you are a water sport lover of course it does not matter.You sure can enjoy the boating at speed .In the park it self - continuous public shower fountains and water Cannon are a fascination to watch- kids of course immensely love them and enjoy.Wondering how much of that water is fully treated and who pays the water bill(assuming that springing water facilities are day and night)Best concession is that on a scorching sunny summer day the breeze is at least tepid if not...

Great place. Went kayaking there with my sister. We had a blast. Great boat docks. Clean water. Clean bathrooms. FYI: Sign on bathroom door said open until 7:15 pm. Huge picnicking area with lots of safe space for kids to play in. Especially this round water thing. Also, had sheriff cars patrolling area. There was a large party going on when we left in the picnic area. This place is at the end of a no outlet with a few neighborhoods you have to go thru. Well worth it. I can’t wait to go back. Unfortunately, I’m writing this the next day and the water was rough and I’m kinda sore! Docks were very nice and there were extra life jackets still hanging there if needed. Always USE A LIFE JACKET. THEY ARE NOT JUST FOR LOOKS!! NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT ONE FOR EACH PERSON! You will get stopped...

So beautiful! We visited yesterday for the first time since the kids were little. The park had literally just opened then. We tried to go a lot then. All the tress have grown up now and are shading the park beautifully. The splash pad still looks great! The playground and grounds look really nice still! The little path through the woods looks cleaned out and kept well! The bathrooms are still sweltering hot! Lol! My daughter and I brought a little girl from our church and introduced her to the park. It's an absolute favorite memory holder for me and a truly beautiful place to go. Lots more...
