Blooming Junction Garden Center and Farm Market — Attraction in Cornelius

Went to give this a try because we had heard such good things. First off we pull in and its pretty dead, 2 other cars beside us, and we head to their tree lot. Its been a long year for my family especially now only being my dad, husband, and i so we just wanted to get a tree without much hassle. They have a sign posted of tree prices and what color tags they are. Great. They had 6'-7' douglas for $55 with a green tag. My mom would always pick that type out. We looked around and the worker didnt greet us, say hi, welcome us in or anything. He didnt even check to see if we needed any help. Yet He kept eyeing us, standing from a distance and watching us, and i would smile or wave and hed walk away. We ended up finding about a 6' tree. We load it onto one of their wagons and head to pay. The shop was cute, it was expensive but looked like good stuff. And i planned to go back and look more in depth at what they had another day. Well The lady didnt greet us and my dad had to get her attention at the register. The lady rings us up and we didnt catch what she said so we asked again. She told us $110. We looked at eachother and explained that the sign said something else. I had a photo on my phone. She goes out to the guy and he tells us they didnt get doug this year or what they did have was like 3 3' tree sitting by the walk way. They proceeded to tell us that the tree we had was a different species but had the same color tag. Now in my option thats very misleading and kinda dishonest. Especially because the guy never once came to see if we need anything. Now i think maybe he was stereotyping us and thought we didnt have enough money for a tree than expensive and so he didnt want to waste his time. Idk. The whole experience lacked basic customer service skills. It was sad. I almost just payed for it but after the experience in whole i decided that i didnt want to waste my money here. Super sad. However up the road on glencoe is a great lot! Please go there instead. Big santa lot! They told us about their reputation and actually helped us pick out a great tree even tho they were flooded with customers. Maybe the employees at blooming junction should head over there for some customers...

Start of the season and we decided to go out with the in-laws to look at rose bushes. There was many to choose from and they walked away with two beautiful varieties. I walked the place while they were looking and found the most amazing double petaled primroses. I can't rave enough about this beautiful garden nursery!! They have the largest and healthy assortment of plants, flowers and trees i have ever seen! Everyone i piint in their direction is beyond thrilled when they leave. I love supporting this local...
