No really a good place.. This was not my first rodeo, I take an annual retreat for the last 24 years and mostly time, I'm enough fortunate to go at a monastery. But this particular one seems to me like it's more a winery with a monastery rather than a monastery with a winery to support. Monks seems really stressed and not happy at all, food is the minimum, really, really the minimum, not good at all. Rooms are comfortable and with air conditioner but the "whole experience" lack of fraternity. I do not know what is the problem but honestly, I would not recommend this monastery...
Read moreIt's been a while since I stayed in this wonderful peaceful place and would do it again and stay for few days. It's a place to find peace and solitude and away from all the noise and stressful city life. No cell phone allowed or shouldn't be using it for there's no wifi connection anyway. I did a lot of reading and put things in perspective. They provide base meal so I suggest to bring your own that will last your entire stay if you're the picky kind..and if you're lucky enough you might be able to talk to one of the monks for some...
