Cabaniss Athletic Complex — Attraction in Corpus Christi

When we go here it is to cheer on someone important to us. It is for a happy occasion. I do not like that when you get here there are angry people who speak to you rudely and want to search your purse/bag whatever before you can enter. They are not always there but when they are they always make me feel very uncomfortable. When they are not there I have a very good experience. The last time they were there when we went my daughter and I were drinking water (from ozarka water bottles) and they made us throw it away before we entered. I could not believe it! We were there for a track meet which lasts All Day and it was Very Hot outside! Many other encounters with these people but pretty much the same.

Went back for another track meet and there were different people at the gate. The gentlemen there was very nice, checked us in and did not treat us with disrespect or any kind of ugliness. Much more pleasant experience changing my rating from...

Signs all over the place that say clear bags only but the staff at the front gate only care about upholding the rule to a few people. They wouldn’t let me in the gate because my bag wasn’t clear but while they are worried about my bag 10 other people walked past them with non clear bags. I pointed it out and they said “we have to uphold the law.” Then why pick on random people. If your going to have a rule like that then you need to uphold it for all people going through the gates. Also once I made it though the gate just for fun I counted how many nonclear bags I saw. I gave up...

I understand rules, but at the first gate they did say anything about my wife's purse but more of my water bottle I was gonna throw away that I can't take it inside, it was a drink away from empty, I said if I was trying to take it in I would have brought a full one.
