This park has been very memorable for me as well as most people I know. Not many places in this area to get out for fresh air and exercise, as well as a great establishment for planned events. There's a couple lodges for inside functions, as well as pet friendly also have had added a dog park area for our loyal companions! Off and on over the years they been investing and improving some of the emenities.( Keeping in mind everything in life weather's, endures ware and tare, upgrades these days are endless.) Have so many memories here over my past times! ( Witches hat!! Ol' running barrel" move ya shoes or black and bruise"!!! Push'n pull swings!! Mary'go round'n round then drag you accoss the ground!! Giant slides! The best of times! I would love to see the entrance area with some kind of attractive setting to appease the appearance. Lastly..there had been trails with educated workout strategies throughout the park that mostly now are unrecognizable. I feel these days the "hands on" approach is not applied to our regeneration as it should be of a great importance! Love the nature of the natural "park"existence and beauty! Kid...
ย ย ย Read moreI've visited Corry many times and driven by this park many times as well but never stopped to go through it until today. This is a beautiful Park that offers more than just playgrounds. There are numerous small private picnic shelters available for public use equipped with electric and a grill. There are a couple different public restrooms also. This park is more like a Nature Center in a tranquil wooded setting. There are tennis and basketball court, a small baseball field a large pond with benches scattered around it and hiking trails. This would be the perfect place to come spend a quiet afternoon walking through it, having a picnic, walk the dog or bring kids to get some fresh air and play on one of the playgrounds. Now that I know what all this park has to offer, I will be back with family and friends to enjoy it. It was especially nice this time of year since the leaves...
ย ย ย Read moreWhen My Wife & I lived in "CORRY" We would go down to "MEAD PARK", But it wasn't as BEAUTIFUL as it LOOKS TODAY. "CORRY" Residents should be HAPPY & PROUD to have a DEDICATED GROUP like the "MEAD PARK ASSOCIATION" to look after & take care of the AREA. Back in the 1980's, I put together a "WWCB RADIO SOFTBALL TEAM" to raise FUNDS for "CORRY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL'S" PEDIATRIC CHILDREN'S WARD. We played the "ERIE BLADES" An EHL Hockey Team at the Former "MEAD PARK BASEBALL FIELD", That is NOW GONE. We RAISED OVER $300.00 for the KIDS. The PARK, NOW, has become an INTEGRAL Part of the COMMUNITY. We had SUPER & GREAT Volunteers Who came down to set the field up for us. BTW, "ERIE" beat "WWCB RADIO" 9-3. It was a FUN Game & Seeing Hockey Players playing SOFTBALL, THEY were GOOD. The LITTLE LEAGUE FIELD at MEAD PARK...
