We felt unsafe. The trailhead has an abandoned camp. This is not a legal camping area but people left their trash. We went <100 yards and found another. I suspect the people who did this are gone but it is the first time in my life that I left a trail because I felt unsafe. Forget the unsightly remains - that was bad enough but to feel unsafe was worse. The handle was also removed or broken off the toilet door.

Great hike! Barely saw anyone in the trail until the further parking lot. Took the spur to the upper falls. It was a climb and pretty but probably more worth it in the spring when the water is flowing more. I would love to come back and camp here, so much to explore and I want to get in that water! There are toilets at the parking lot but my friend said they were unusable because of garbage so I didn't go in.

Great swimming hole! Water is EXTREMELY COLD! Beautiful Fun location with multiple places to jump into the water! Plenty of friendly locals and visitors all enjoying the scenery & cold swimming. Only reason I gave it 4-stars is there is only 1-restroom & parking was limited. If you’re up for some adventure (there is camping nearby) this is a place for you.
