But i wish the speeders would slow down an the tailgater ,DONT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE, KIDS, AN VERY LOVED ANIMALS crossing the road an playing all around the park an not leaving out the wild life! Read moreI love this lake! I especially love the trout stocking program the DNR does here in the fall and winter. Once the water gets cool enough to sustain trout they place them in the water and you can take up to five a day. They are tasty and fun to catch.
In the summer, the lake has a lot of panfish and bass, also I have seen some people take some decent sized catfish out of here.
There are also a ton of waterfowl such as pelicans, geese, and ducks that call the lake and the surrounding park home. Additionally, you can see muskrats, rabbits, frogs, and other creatures.
