This is such a beautiful trail! Lots of options for how far/how long you want to walk. We did just over 2 miles with our 8 and 4 year olds and they loved it. There are lots of big boulders to climb and streams to play in. A bit more changes in elevation than RI trails usually have but still easy enough for younger kids. Going a few days after it rained did make for lots of muddy spots but you could easily walk around them. The trail is very well marked and they even have maps hanging at every intersection . The bridges over the wetlands and the fields of ferns made for a very dreamy walk.

Moderate to difficult trails Roots, rocks and the occasional water hazard to ford. Trails are well marked. Bring a trekking pole to make life easier. It's mostly up and down hilly areas with marshland in the valleys. The course below is just under 7 miles.

This was a nice hike. The trail was well marked, maps at every intersection. Roots, rocks, ups and downs, some water, and stone structures. I'm glad I decided to check it out.

Beautiful place to go for a hike! The trails were very well-marked, but bringing along a trail map is recommended. We did the "Coventry Loop" trail from "Parking Lot 1", and the total time and distance were ~2 hours and 3.2 miles. This trail (and I suspect the other loop) are a bit more technical than a woodland road, requiring some scrambling and sure-footing to get up and down some rocky areas, and keeping an eye on lots of exposed tree roots. This doesn't detract from the overall hike, as for the most part it is in relative solitude (save the voices of other hikers...

We went on the short hike from PKG lot 1. Took a right, stayed in blue trail. It was wonderful to hear and see the birds and to get some exercise. Just about 3 miles, some good inclines and declines. A solid intermediate hike. Bring water and bug spray and possibly a pair of pruners. There are parts of the trail where the grass hits you as you pass it. I kept thinking about ticks. It is the season and we DID pull ticks off ourselves. Know that'll be the case, enjoy the hike and inspect yourself before you get...
