Covington Park — Attraction in Covington Township

Chose this park/lake because of the wifi. I scanned the barcode many times and it did not work; no wifi. Small swimming area like other reviews have mentioned so u have been warned. Other than that I liked it only because it had a variety of things that the kids can do there; a playground, swimming area, basketball court, ect...it was a Monday and not much ppl where near the beach area which was a plus considering that it's a small area to gather and your limited if you want to be near the water. It is a nice park. I went to go fishing with the kids and it was crowded but again first day so it is expected. The problem I have I am in a wheelchair and to get down to the beach my oldest son had to hold the chair. If you are in a wheelchair or have issues with hills I would recommend not going down the hill to the beach. I would give it a 5 but like Aylesworth there is no real way for someone in a wheelchair etc to get down the hill. Which is a shame they have adaptive equipment in the park but no easy access...

Playground was nice, soft surface surrounding the playground. Grounds are well kept. No lifeguard and swimming area was not roped off. Small beach area. My Biggest complaint was Young man was fishing in the beach area despite sign stating no fishing there. He was right at the edge. But casting out as children were running around. Not safe at all.
