Moffat Estate — Attraction in Covington Township

A gem of a park. In a beautiful serene nature location. Plenty of trees for shade. The swings are a blast! Slidea are very high, definitely accompany young children on them. They have a bouchee court. Large plot of grass so bring your picnic blaknet and some fresh food! Even a yoga mat for some streching. There are a few trails here. One road (walkable stay to sides) leads down to a beautiful pond. There is a lovely gazzabo. There is a portal potty( fairly clean). Two buildings on the property. They host a Christmas event at the main one which is wonderful. A beautiful histrocal buidling filled with holiday cheer. ☆Not far from food and...

An absolutely beautiful area. The estate has multiple levels including the buildings, fields, playgrounds, and the lake. The right side of the property (when facing the property from the street) has a longer, less steep road that is gravel and is able to be driven down. Driving this road will take you straight down to the lake. No walking necessary. The waterfall in the back is very pretty and is generally very powerful (especially after rain).

We loved this place so much we've had graduation parties, birthday parties, and even got married here. The pavilion is large and enclosed with a kitchen (no stove use), and has separate men and women's bathrooms. There is a gazebo and stone steps for pictures. There is a 2.5 story playground for the kiddos and a smaller one for little tikes. There is a bocce ball court too. You can walk through the woods to the pond which has a covered bridge and various benches throughout the park....
